Hello, all, from your friendly Fort troll. If you've never heard of me, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Norm, aka The Troll. Why am I called The Troll? Well, it's a long story. Let's just say that I tend to express some rather...controversial opinions. I have a tendency to say what I think, and sometimes that rankles some feathers! Anyway, I am who I am and I want to do a little experiment. You're invited along for the ride. This is a departure from the conventional trip report. What I'm about to do here is present a photo essay consisting of pictures I took around the Fort during the Troll

Going to the Fort will be our big trip this year, despite the price of diesel. We figure we don't have too many years left with our grandkids where they will still think we're fun so we don't want to miss out on anything. But, we are not bringing our tow car or our golf cart. We don't need extra transportation while we are at the fort and we can rent a golf cart (off site) cheaper than hauling everything with us.

Expedition Everest 5K in 53:04; Total time with Scavenger Hunt (which was close to another 5K - 1:42:33 ... and I was FAR from last! Parking was a LONG way from the Start, etc. There were NO bleachers or anything for 'watchers' to sit on - which sort of sucked for OldeKoot! The start was set up with 8 'waves' starting 5 minutes apart - I was in Wave 2. Waves were not based upon your run time, like you normally find - there were based on your registration date . 8:35pm - I'm on my way. We loop the entire Animal Kingdom parking lot. Just before the main entrance, we go off of the pavement

I just wanted to add, your pictures of the Fort wildlife is way better than Tcd's turkeys :rofl2:
