  1. lol "and whatever you do, don't stare" lol. In another thread I asked for options on a good Italian restaurant. I researched the 6 that I am aware of. 5 are park offered restaurants and 1 is at DTD. None offer on their menus Fettachini Alfredo. I was shocked and thought maybe I could request it as an off menu item, but I am not sure. It appears that POA and AOA are the only two spots to enjoy this yummy dish.
  2. BTW I Too Got A Chuckle From The Castle Comment. Poor Vertically Challenged Castle.
  3. That Pasta Stop Makes Me All Kinds Of Happy. Out Of All The Italian Restaurants On Property, No One Serves Fettachini Alfredo. You Have Made My Day ;0)
  4. Sweet Baby Boy!! My Little Guy Will Be That Age Next Time We Go.
  5. I Did Not Know PO Had Create Your Own Pasta. Do The Have Fettachini Alfredo?
  6. Ken, One Day I Hope To Meet You And Judy And The Kids. You Have Such An Amazing Story Of Love That Blows My Mind.
  7. Just made my reservations for Jan/ Feb with no problems. Are you booking room only?
  8. Time is another key factor. How much time do you want to be traveling to eat? If you are not at a Park everyday then you need to either eat at Trails End or head to another resort or DTD to eat.
  9. First let me say we are not your typical family. We tend to be on the larger size not by girth but by people. For me it comes down to my vacation. I am the main cook. If I want a true stress free vacation then eating out is the only way to go. The DDP would cost us a mint and I mean a mint however. So then I have to decide am I willing to spend that much to have a stress free trip or can I come up with a way cheaper option that may not be as stress free but much better than it would be at home. I have decided to come up with a cheaper option. I plan a few meals out and the rest are at
  10. Is Splash Mountain usually closed in the winter months Jan-March?
  11. I think I can on everything but MK. There is just a specific pattern that we enjoy and it does not start in Princess Land. lol Of course I am the mother of mainly boys.
  12. Remember we will be there the middle of January to the second week of February so taking advatage of the cold might be a really good idea.
  13. Something else we have done. If there are two slide in the back by the bunks then usually there is a large open space between the slides. This space holds an air mattress very nicely. The adults and children could sleep back there and the grandparents could sleep in the master bed area. Just an idea.
  14. If we cut through the International Gateway headed to the Boardwalk for dinner. What would be the better option to fully enjoy the sights of the Boardwalk area, walk or ride the boat? We will be arriving in the evening and I have heard the Boardwalk is really neat at night.
  15. Okay new question I have read lots of different travel guides and their opinions on how to tour AK. Some say do the safari first thing while others say to save it for the end of the day. What are your thoughts and why. Second Question: Is it better to try and do EMH at parks or to avoid that park as it might be much busier that day?
  16. I am glad this thread is helping so many. I spoke with Christina momofmany and she said that the size of the meals seems to be shrinking. She said she has not been able to split meals between her children like she used to. This is disappointing but just means I need to be more creative when it comes to feeding my crew.
  17. Building on the above comment. While waiting to be seated at Rain Forest Cafe I over heard an older couple request a table away from children. lol wrong dinner choice.
  18. The one legged soldier is one of three main characters in a portion of Fantasia. He falls in love with a beautiful ballerina but is forced to fight the evil jack-in-the box who also has affection for the ballerina. The little soldier is very heroic
  19. WDW for our families is not cheap. I was trying to figure out what it would cost if we just ate at the parks for lunch. I figure we will be in the parks for 11 days out of our 21 day visit. Add that up and that is $1000!! That is my grocery bill for a month. I just can't justify it but I want a vacation too. So I have made it my mission to come up with lots of crockpot meals, grilled items for my husband to cook, and quick to assemble lunches that the children and I can throw together the night before a park visit, many hands make the work load light. My oldest loves to cook and the next t
  20. Exactly the kind of info I am looking for. Thanks. We don't plan to eat all our meals out but if we want to splurge I would like to make the meal go as far as I can.
