  1. I believe the group tent area is first come first serve, but I think it costs much less than a partial. Maybe one of the boy scouter folks could answer that.
  2. When Nate and I arrived at the boat dock, there was a L O N G line. I hoped we could get on the next boat. They even broke out the clicker to count each guest as they got on. With every click, I prayed that we would make it. We did! I ended up sitting with this very hoity toity women with one of the most annoying voices you've ever heard. She was with, from what I gathered, her daughter-in-law. I listened to her talk about her little dog and her Christmas plans, all while I shot Nate the stink eye. When we had to stop for the water pageant, I thought she may have a breakdown. I think that you'
  3. :bellringer: Yes, Gwen, the EWP. I was running low on energy at this point and never even thought about it. Oh, I took some crappy pictures too, I just didn't blind you with them. Hey Heidi, thanks! Glad you jumped in. Hope all is well with you. Definitely worth another and another and another. Carrying on right now....
  4. I don't believe even the Grinch would be able to retain his grinchy status when staring at this The sights, the sounds, even the fake snow, seem to transport you a different place. The details that Disney adds in Even toilet paper. Huh? This was in one of the store windows. I'm not sure where Angel Soft TP fits in, but hey, it is essential in life! Nate stopped and grabbed a hot chocolate to fully immerse himself in the spirit. We seemed to walk a few feet then stop and admire. Walk a few feet, admire.....repeat. At the very end of the street, I paused to take it in one last time.
  5. You do see a wide age gap in their fans. I'd say from 20's to 60's. My guess on the frequent Florida tours is 1. Home base is Atlanta (visiting family in between) 2. Weather (all year round Prevost travel, when other states wouldn't be so fun to drive coach and trailer through) I found that outside too! TR update to follow!
  6. Gee, I don't feel so bad now. I thought I was the only Disney fan who hadn't seen Nemo. It really is a great show. So many comments I could add to that statement, but I will be a good girl and refrain. Do Nemo, for sure! Finger? Uhhhhh, yeah, sorta, kinda.... YES, Nicki, FINGER! (Otherwise this could totally go downhill in a hurry for the same reasons I didn't post the picture of me enjoying it :) ) So sorry for being a loser TR writer. I promise to get an update in later. To hold you over until then, I received our picture from our meet & greet yesterday. Very cool!
  7. Thanks for hanging in there Kim! Thank you for the sweet comments. I do try to have fun wherever I go. I work with an average of 200 people a day, from all walks of life, young and old. I listen to a lot whining and complaining and we've lost a lot of members in the last couple of years. If it's taught me anything, it's taught me to enjoy every moment, life is short and things can always be worse. Time spent with people I love is the most important thing to me. If you could see me today, you may revoke the rock star comment. It's been a rough week and it's gonna take a while to recover fro
  8. It is 2:59 as we near the Nemo theater. The CM is waving us in frantically. Only one problem, Nate can't take his ice cream in! He chokes down his Mickey bar and we make it into the theater as the lights dim. Poor Nate is now in the dark and suffering from brain freeze, but darn it, we're going to see Nemo! He has just taken the lowest seat when a CM comes over and tells us to sit higher so we can see better. Then CM says: "There's only two of you?" We tell him yes and he moves us over to the end of a handicapped row. He may have felt sorry for the vertically challenged. Final verdict: We lo
  9. Thanks. That's where we found BBS too. If you get a chance to see their show, I highly recommend it!! Perfect! Dave and I actually laughed about that at the time. I wondered if anyone would notice. Leave it to Lisa, she's pretty sharp. :rotfl6: Dave took his funny pill this morning! Thanks Gwen. No problem, we all have those days. The good thing is, sometimes you can log onto FF and find some silly report that will make you smile. ^-^ Hope you get to feeling more chipper. Do as I do, grasshopper.
  10. Sorry I can't help Dave but, this picture is adorable!
  11. I know I've been a slacker. I told you I had a busy week ahead but I'm going to try and get in a couple updates today. Last night I had a date in Gainesville. Ok, I had multiple dates. Blackberry Smoke Jamie Davis Donnie Nate Trevor was there too, but he took a lot of the photos so he's not in many. Another great concert! We got home at 2:38 and I went to work at 4:00. (I'm getting too old for this crap) Let's get back on topic. Saturday morning I woke up early with plans to do some park hopping. Nate just wanted to sleep. The two must-dos on this trip were the Osborne lights and the castl
  12. Funny you mentioned that. As every picture loaded I would ask Trevor the same question: "Am I really that short?" I guess my suspicions have been right all along. For potatoes in crock. I scrub them, poke a few holes in them and throw them in for 6-8 hours on low, depending on the size of the taters. Just poke them with a fork to make sure they're tender throughout. Easy Peasy! I think both you and Ed are on to something. :hah: It's coming (though he still thinks he looked normal) No NYE for us, holidays are crazy with friends and family. We're shooting for the second week of January so Jo
  13. Not sure how I missed this but, good stuff! Love Barkley getting a better smell. :)
  14. Sorry I fell behind again. Freaks are always at DW. I could sit and people watch for hours. You will see some strange stuff, but I have to admit I've never seen a dude in a skirt for no apparent reason. Do you think he was commando? Ewww I hope you're doing something fun this weekend!
  15. I left off on Friday afternoon. Not long after devores left, Brent and Justin came back for a couple of pre-dinner cocktails. Donnie also arrived and joined us. Donnie tried to share some love with Brent, but Brent wasn't having it. Even Justin was giving the "ewww" face. ;D After a couple hours, Brent & Justin went back to their site for dinner, Donnie left to go eat with Tina & John and Nate texted that he was almost there. We fired up the grill and got dinner ready. As that was happening, John pulls up in our site and Donnie jumps out with something in his hand. Flashback: I met
  16. Thanks for joining in Kim. Add in some onions, garlic and a little red pepper, YUM! Yep, my step Dad used to do this too. Sometimes even bologna chopped up instead of ham. Good stuff! Hey Judy! Of course you're still there. Now that you've disclosed that info, you've been moved to the top! He was gonna pay me back but he couldn't find any shoe polish for my windows. All in good fun. I only get the stink eye when he's in the cart or truck. We don't share punch with him. ;D ;D I would love that! My plan is much cheaper too, as in FREE! I knew that would tickle your fancy. I can't ever c
  17. Both of our TV's were purchased within the last two years. Granted, I had to pull out instructions, but all I had to do was a rescan of channels in digital. Something you may want to read up on before you go so you don't waste valuable Fort time. :)
  18. It's Friday morning! Nate and Donnie arrive tonight. Here's what seems to happen on Fridays. Trevor and I goof around until Nate and/or others show up and we start partying. Fast forward a few hours later....everyone is starving and no one wants to cook. I prepared for that this time. I cooked some bacon But not for breakfast. I was making a 7 layer salad for later. I started marinating a London broil and stuck some baked potatoes in the crockpot. After a few cold ones, all we had to do was throw the meat on the grill. I had read on FF that Mo had posted they would be pulling out between 9-10
  19. :rotfl5: Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  20. They're great! Trevor likes his with a little hot sauce on top. I usually cook with some crushed red pepper so just a sprinkle of salt and pepper works for me. Taken from www.prouditaliancook.com I don't know exactly when this humble sandwich had it's beginning, but I've been eating this since I was a little kid. It's usually offered primarily during the Lenten season in many of the Italian beef stands here in Chicago land, and on Friday's, as an alternative to meat. Yes, way back when, the Catholic religion had a "no meat on Friday" rule and I think that's how this sandwich all came about. I
  21. I agree with the girls about the cold. Even though I'm an early riser, I didn't leave the site til at least 9:00am this trip. The nights were too cold for my taste too. Ok for hanging around but not looping. As for the windmill, there were many times this trip that I would think the same thing. Does anyone even notice that anymore or know what it is? I bet some newbies have no idea what's rotting behind the RC fence. (where my son learned to swim :- ) I bet some have no idea that TCD ranch was once a real petting zoo, with animals you could PET. And Minnie Moo! I bet some don't know you could
  22. The site is all set up, time to take Mason for a walk to do his business. The first thing Trevor wants me to do is take a picture of a Hummer that was in the 500 loop. A real Hummer! And beat to hell and back! In other words, this guy didn't buy this to be "cool" He is using it to it's full potential. If I had to endure it, so do you! After Mason was walked, the first order of business was to visit Judy. We brought Mason so Lil Bee could see him. Mason rubbed all up on him and when Judy asked Bee if he remembered the dogs name, he did! If you ever think Bee isn't listening or paying attenti
  23. That's ok Dan! I'm just happy to have you along for the ride. Hey Yvonne! I added about 5 more which worked out perfect as I had to remove some naughty fiends (Or fiends that have since disappeared ) Awww, thanks Lisa! I know you got your hands full with WCH. I love getting the tweets, especially the recipes. I even have a few I'll send to you. I know how hard it is to write a TR. I can't imagine doing your site app, twitter, blog and a regular job! You're a go girl! Thanks so much for jumping in. Thank you! We're going to fire it up as soon as I get these replies done. Page 2 Ray, but I'
  24. Glad to have you in! I've always had English bulldogs until we got Mason. He really is the best, smartest dog I've ever owned. I would have 10 of them if I could afford to take care of that many. I'd love to see yours! Yes Ed, you maintained quite well. Though I do have a picture coming up where you're shooting me gang signs. ;D This did happen before when Trevor left the cooler behind on accident. We did the processional on Monday night. I'm sorry too, but I'll see you in january when I work out our schedule with Jordan. Hey Annie, glad to have you along. The rest of the trip more than mad
