  1. Sorry for the brief sabbatical. After returning from our lunch at MK, we took Mason for a cart ride. Of course, that means I got to ride "b**ch" While we were riding, I could hear a noise coming from the back of the cart, like a squeaking sound. Who'd a thought we'd stop, mid looping, to check it out. We think it's a spring, but have been too busy to dig into it further since we brought it home. I forgot to mention that Saturday night while Nate and I were at MK, Alabama won the football game against Georgia. That meant I had to listen to countless people shout "Roll Tide" to Nate, to wh
  2. :rofl2: No, never during the week! I just got a lot going on and there's not enough hours in the day sometimes.
  3. Let's get this show on the road. Well, not the road literally, that's for the next day. Trevor and I decided to grab some lunch. We discussed going to the Lodge, but I wanted to go back to the MK and see the Fantasy Land expansion during the day. This cart was parked down by the marina. Very creative, fellow camper! The marina was decked out for Christmas. Sorry about the utility cart in the shot, I guess someone was working, somewhere. Trevor was thrilled at the opportunity to return to the MK. Waiting on our boat We didn't wait long and we were on our way. The birds were all facing in o
  4. I was going to say that it's WAY too cold up there for these southern bones........... But seeing Brad would be way worse!! :barf: I figured you guys couldn't be far. Bummer that we missed you! Glad you guys made it home safely.
  5. Nice looking family ya got there MD! I always try to protect myself from enemas too. BTW, are those grey capri sweatpants you're wearing? :clint:
  6. Great job Nicki! Are you settled somewhere now, or are you going to start another roaming report?
  7. :rotfl5: Yes, I think the proper name is HawKooster. Very cool! They were adorable to listen to. Even the CM stayed in full character and said something to Trevor like "Pardon us, we're looking for buried treasure" Great idea for keeping the kids busy for a while! Thanks for that info Mo! That mud would be a royal PITA with Mason. I'm always amazed at the kids and adults that lay down or sit in the grass in there!? I would imagine there isn't a blade in that place that hasn't been "used" Ewww! You're welcome! I used to skip over it as I've seen it for so many years. Now I'm afraid it will b
  8. Sad that's it's over, happy that it happened. Especially the Gator win. If Rick Scott joins FF, I'm moving out of state. No offense to FF.Net, but I think he has more important things to do with his time. I do not have a triple crock pot. I have 3 individuals though, does that count? BTW, If I can ever get you to a NASCAR race, the Goodyear blimp is always there. Thanks for another great report.
  9. Behind Judy & Tina's site, the blow-ups were in full force. Then we walked down the best trail in all of Fort Wilderness. We've almost made a full circle back to the cart parking. While it's great to have a cart for looping, sometimes a good long walk soothes the soul. We cruised back to our site and caught Mason sound asleep on the couch. We're always greeted with huge smiles when we return, but if you don't know him, you'd think he was going to gnaw your arm off. Because Mason had been home alone, we took him to the dog park for some play time. The area right inside the gate was c
  10. With Mason tucked away in the camper, Trevor and I rode down to the TCD ranch. I feel like I need to visit it every trip until it's torn down. BOO! Guess who was parked right next to us? Lonestar was not at the ranch, but his cart was there. You can see one of the ponies hiding behind his stall in this picture. Even when we walked around to the other side, he stayed hidden. Maybe this little guy got tired of having a roomie? We found out the "hider" was named Levi, and he loves this CM, so he came out for him. He also loves Twizzlers, which he got a nibble of from this CM. Levi even has
  11. You're very welcome! I actually forgot that I had taken those along the water, your special picture is next! Me too, only after using the foil for the taters (and them taking too long) I was afraid it would be the same thing with a liner. Yes, I do love my crocks. I now have a small, medium and large one, which work great for entertaining. I am not a fan of socks with sandals either, or grease stained sweatshirts. If he ever exits the camper with plumber's crack, he's gonna find my boot in it. :rotfl6: It gets me at least once a week! You've probably cleaned it by now, but when I hav
  12. I guess that's true....now that I have one less layer of skin in my nasal passage. Noted.
  13. I'm with you on the Black Friday shopping. No way! I don't have the patience for those crazy shoppers. I love having lunch at the Lodge. Never had the chili though. Any warnings or tips you'd like to add before I try it?
  14. Potato bar sounds yummy! I tried the foil the first time as I had seen both with and without, but they took way too long with the foil on low. Guess it would depend how hot your low setting is. I have done them many times without and my pot is fine. Believe it or not, you will have to clean your crockpot as the potatoes create their own juice. They are more steamed I guess (moister) than baked potatoes. :rofl2: OMG, I hope that doesn't happen! But if it were to happen, have a camera handy.
  15. Monday December 3rd. We check out on the 4th. Yuck! We got up early and decided to hang around the Fort and go to Epcot that evening. Fort exploring: We took Mason behind the 300 loop. While he did his walk along the canal, I went down to the water. The weird buoys are still there. The cabin is looking abandoned and sad. Fisherpeople (I couldn't tell if it was men) There were two other older couples back there walking and taking photos. I didn't get a pic of the other folks, they were standing right next to me and that would have been kinda creepy. TCD's favorite spot (this is not your s
  16. Yep, but I still have a lot of photos! We didn't just sit around and mope. Well, I did start moping, but I was active when I did it. ;D Coming right up! I couldn't agree more. :raspberry2: Yummy and fairly simple! I will post the recipe at the end.
  17. Love twin #1 in the snuggie and pilgrim hat! :rofl2: I'm glad you went home for a family Thanksgiving. Proud that you made it back to the Fort and went to MK. I would have been on the couch, with my jeans unbuttoned.
  18. Nicki, I had no idea you picked this report back up! I'm all caught up now. Food, Fiends, Animal butts and Balls (Epcot) = Awesome! So sorry I missed this! Brain fart
  19. I thought he had run out of beer! Love the old photos Todd! Keep em coming.
  20. Before we move on to Sunday at the Fort, I want to share this. I did some Christmas shopping over the weekend. I ran into Kmart to get wrapping paper and bought myself some new slippers. Kid clearance for $4.00! ^-^ Mason isn't impressed. He thinks they should be for him to play with. Back to the report..... Sunday morning I slept til 7:00 am! That's a record for me, but I guess when you don't get to bed until one-ish, it's to be expected. I started some camping chicken & dumplings in the crockpot and Trevor came out for coffee in a "camping outfit" Ya know, those outfits you wouldn't nor
  21. Ty all! One can never take too many castle photos! Just be happy I didn't post them all. Thanks Mo! I agree 100%. When I hear someone complain about waiting, I always want to ask them where they were supposed to be vacationing. Obviously they ended up in the wrong place. WDW = Waits. Sorry you missed the lights. They are amazing. Trevor won't ride BTM either so I have to convince someone else to go, or ride alone like I did last trip. That's not as fun. I was tossed all over the place and a couple times felt as if I would fly right out of my seat. I've been working on my temper for a few ye
  22. WOW! I had no idea those were limited to a minimum of 20 people. Good lord, that's an expensive piece of grass!
