  1. Thanks! Enjoyed another report. Good news for me, though. I haven't read through one of your other reports so I get to read that next. Yay!
  2. I had made reservations for the kids to go on a Pirate Adventure on the 4th. I had completely forgotten about the golf cart parade so we missed out on that, but I think we still had plenty of fun. We went over to the Grand Floridian and got the kids on their cruise. Nate and I then had a muffin and some sort of loaf cake at Gasparilla Grill. They were delicious! Then we decided to rent a sea raycer. That was a lot of fun but my bum got numb! I don't know if I could handle anymore than 30 minutes. We saw the pirates! But we stayed far away from them. Then we just had to
  3. Thank you! We have 4.5 days left and I am going to get 2 knocked out here in a minute. Thank! She's a cutie when she brushes her hair. haha. I am so thankful that I never really felt like it was too crowded until that moment waiting on fireworks. I think it was just because everyone was all squished into one area.
  4. Darn! We went mini golfing 4th of July night and then went to bed. Had I stayed up I might have been out and about when you were setting off Flippin Awesome. Too bad.
  5. We were up early again on the 3rd of July. The first thing I noticed when we got up was that I had a present from TCD. He left me a spike. How nice of him to think of me. :) Thank you! (and I am pretty sure I got the day right--everything is running together now) I had made reservations for breakfast at Crystal Palace at 8:20. My kids have never really watched Winnie the Pooh but it was my backup plan if we couldn't see Rapunzel and Flynn the first day. I debated on whether or not to cancel since we had already seen them and it was going to be a late night, but I thought it woul
  6. Thank you again. :) I don't know how people can do 4 or 5 days back to back. I was exhausted after just one day and am so glad we were able to spread it all out.
  7. Rocky is SO cute! My boxer, Gracie, doesn't like to have her picture taken but my husband managed to get one of her last night. She's fat. I think I have spoiled her too much with people food treats. She was abused before we rescued her. I guess I gave her too much treats to try to make up for what happened to her. She's coming around but she is still scared of everything. My mom has a boxer, too. He looks more like a Great Dane, though. He's huge! She just took him to the vet and he weighs 115lbs! He looks like a small horse. My sister has a black boxer. He's still young and
  8. Around 9:30 they finally woke up. Again I had wanted to hang around the fort, but my son really wanted to go back to Downtown Disney so he could go to the magic shop so a couple of hours later we hopped on a bus to DD. I had actually wanted to get back over there as well. I wanted to take some pictures of my kids by the Christmas shop because I always do a cute photo Christmas card but I am out of ideas. I am going to try to make a card using these pictures. We took a whole bunch so surely a few of them will work. We hung out at the Marketplace for a bit and then decided to eat lu
  9. Saturday, July 2nd brought a much needed rest day. We were tired. But I was up early again. I woke up as soon as I heard the birds singing everyday. It was a perfect time for me to do some looping. I don't remember which loops I explored but I know I didn't see any fiends. I did check out the 2000 loop since we could have been placed over there. It was nice but I liked being close to the pool. After I looped I took a walk around the pool. It was so beautiful and peaceful. I was the only one out except for one cast member and a few people by the Bike Barn.
  10. I will quit kicking myself. We had a great time and that's all that matters. Natalie is my thrill seeker. She has been climbing things long before she could walk. Before we left on our trip I caught her outside walking on the middle board of our wooden fence. She was halfway up the fence just walking along it. The higher she is the better it is for her. Aww so nice there. I do sometimes wish we were back there, but we have roots here in OK. My kids were dying to see their grandparents after our Florida trip and it had been only a couple of weeks. They are used to seeing them weekly
  11. Thank you all! Yes, I didn't want to ride it but if my 6 year old could then I guess I could, too. :) It wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be but once was enough. He was at New River, but it's right there in Jacksonville, too. It's south of Camp Lejeune. He was an electrician for helicopters. We loved North Carolina and if my family didn't live here I'd consider moving back. I went to college in Wilmington. :) One day we'll go back for a visit. My son was born there so he is interested in what it looks like. Yes, we loved everything about WDW and the Fort. We keep talkin
  12. I never saw that SUV again after you left, but we were never at the fort long so it may have come back while we were gone. Wow, that's a lot of people at the pool. We went to Blizzard Beach that day so we didn't get to see that. Did you see the people on the other side of the comfort station? We saw them rolling in with a full sized refrigerator. I chatted with the mom a few times in the comfort station. They were staying for 23 nights. I think I'd bring a full sized fridge, too, if I were staying that long. Next summer they are planning to stay the entire month of July. The 4th of
  13. Your doggie is So cute! :) And so are your kids. :) It looks like you all had so much fun. I am sorry that we didn't get a chance to meet you while we were there. We needed another couple of days to fit everything in.
  14. Wow, how beautiful is that state park and the Gatlinburg campground. I think that's what I love the best about camping-just taking in the scenery. There are parts of Oklahoma that are just gorgeous. OKC is a great place to live but doesn't have any pretty scenery. I think I would love to visit Gatlinburg one day.
  15. I just read through your report. Love those manatee pics. We experienced a lot of rain the first week of our Disney trip. Then like TCD said it dried up and then came back the day before we left. We got to drive through loads of rain on our way home. I am wondering if we have a little resort camping place similar to that somewhere here in Oklahoma. We actually haven't been camping for too long. My son joined cub scouts a few years ago and the first time we camped was with them in a teeny tiny tent. We loved it! We invested in a bigger tent since we can only tent camp with the scouts
  16. Things are finally settling down here after our trip so I have time to read more trip reports. Yay! We always visit McDonald's before we travel. It's a tradition. Yesterday when my friends and I took a quick road trip to Tulsa to go to the Oklahoma Aquarium I still had to get McDonald's breakfast. :) Love the sunset pictures. So gorgeous. :)
  17. Hollywood Studios was only suppose to be a 4.9 out of 10 on Friday, July 1st according to Touring Plans. It was also the only day that wouldn't be showing Fantasmic. My husband and I had talked about it before we left and decided we'd rather go on a low crowd day then watch Fantasmic. Plus, it would just give us something to look forward to the next time we came. For people that normally sleep in late we sure were able to get up and moving on vacation. We made it to Hollywood Studios about 5 minutes before the park opened. I ran to get Toy Story Mania fastpasses while my husband took
  18. Thanks TCD for the vote of confidence. I love reading about all things you do with your girls. They are pretty lucky to have you. Nate, my husband, loves to spend time with our kids and I am so thankful for that. Many of my friends have husbands that don't enjoy being with their family and that's really sad. They are missing out on so much but their children also lose out.
  19. It didn't take too long--maybe 10 minutes. It was definitely faster than waiting on the monorail. :)
  20. Thank you! All of you are too kind with your words. I have never enjoyed writing, but I decided to do this trip report to keep me from forgetting our trip. It's actually been nice to write it out. :) Next up is our Hollywood Studios day.
  21. How fun for your daughters! We had good interaction like that with Eric and Ariel on our 2nd MK day. I'll write about that later. :) It's really too bad that he is going away or already gone. He makes it all that much better. Thank you! I tried hard to make it great for all four of us. I think I succeeded! Thank you. I also have video of my daughter dancing to the music while the fireworks were going off. It was such a magical experience. :) Thank you and me too. He's awesome!
  22. Love your fort photos. I am kicking myself that I didn't take more while we were there. And I am kicking myself for not thinking about the golf cart parade when I made reservations for my kids on the Pirate Adventure. They enjoyed their little pirate outing so it's okay, but I think they would have liked the parade, too.
  23. Yes, my friend texted me on the 28th telling me to make sure we saw Rapunzel and Flynn because Flynn's last day was going to be July 3. I am not sure if that's an accurate date or not, but I am sure glad we saw them both. You are right. Flynn does add so much to the meet and greet. He made it enjoyable for my son. Bryce asked him what was in the satchel and he showed Bryce the crown. Flynn also told Bryce he could pick up one at the castle.
