  1. Since Rick does photography for dog events, we have a printer capable of doing canvas rag. I'm going to do a wall of his best.
  2. I think it is Photomatrix, but he just got it so I'm not 100% positive. He was using a free one before, but the results were not a dramatic.
  3. Rick has a program for HDR photography. Something about High Dynamic Range Imaging. You take 3 or more pictures using different bracketing (under exposed, regular and over exposed) and you merge them together taking the best parts of each one then you play with colors and intensity. That's the sum of my knowledge, but it made a great photo. He is just starting to get into photography on a more professional basis and I encourage him to do more with landscapes, etc.
  4. As some may know my husband is a photography nut. He shoots pictures at dog events for profit and shoots Disney pictures for fun. Here is a picture he took during our last weekend trip. We ate lunch at the Polynesian. What do you think? I'm having it enlarged and was going to mat and frame for home.
  5. Ranger Bill, As some one who frequents F W many times a year due to living only 90 minutes away I salute you and management for the great efforts you are making. I will gladly wear a wrist band (and I hate having things around my wrist) if it means a less crowded pool. There have been frustrating times when we haven't been able to get a seat and the fort hasn't been that crowded. Love the new rules because we pay a lot to be there. Thanks.
  6. I love them. I hope it's cool this year. Two years ago we had to wear jeans and jackets. Last year we wore shorts and T's. Big difference mentally.
  7. Thought I would post this colorful picture of China. It is one or Rick's favorites And while we were there I love the tomb warriors. I saw the real one's years ago in Ohio at a museum.
  8. UPDATE Because of the sale of Natura (Innova, EVO, etc) to P&G we are slowly switching over to TOTW. I didn't want too high of protein for our old girls. It will take a few months of slowly mixing. I just figured P&G would eventually use less quality ingredients to increase profits. Lots of friends use TOTW.
  9. We have mainly booked Premium because it gives us lots of space, but on our last weekend we stayed in full hook up in Loop 1700 and we may switch to that from now on. Like the space between the sites more.
  10. We recently switched from AAA to Coach Net. AAA just never seemed to pay for things we needed that were simple. We'll see about C-N.
  11. Although it's our secret, I will say it was a lovely spot for a rest. A cold margarita, cool air, comfy seat and peace and quiet. It was a lovely break. We are going again next month and I think we will do a similar day at MK.
  12. DH, Rick, and I have decided 2 nights is better than nothing. We now try to fit it in when we can. An addiction is a terrible thing. Can't wait for the rest of the story.
  13. If you check on-line you might be able to find something locally. I know there is a camera shop over in Tampa that has used equipment. I don't know if they rent. There is also one up on 19 around Palm Harbor, but before Tarpon Springs that has camera equipment. Again, I don't know if they rent or not.
  14. TCD, not locally. Rick rented from Lenspal.com. You rent on line and let them know when you want it. It is delivered the day before and you get to keep it for a certain amount of time. Rick usually does a 4 day rental, but I think they have longer times also. It is shipped to you overnight and you ship it back the same way. So far it has worked out pretty well. The first lens he rented he found out he didn't like. I thought it saved us money, but he really liked this lens so we will probably end up buying a similar one (just not the Nikon brand $$$). Rick does photography for our side
  15. There are several places. Rick rented from Lenspal.com. The lens he rented sells for about $725, but $40 to rent for 4 days. Now he wants one.
  16. We enjoyed meeting you also It was a nice trip. We could have gotten off a checked out hotels. We did learn that you can walk from Epcot to DHS. There is so much to do if you get off the beaten path.
  17. I'll finish this report up, but I'm not sure how many pictures or how much detail you want so I'll go mid point. We spent a wonderful Sunday at Epcot. I was certain it was going to be a wet day, but it turned out really well. Cloudy, HUMID, a nice breeze from time to time and I would say the crowds were light. Rick rented a wide angle lens to play with so lots of the pictures show a super wide angle. Not always my favorite, but a new perspective on many pictures we already have. We started the Epcot day out by deciding we were not doing any rides. No running for fast passes or standing
  18. Oops, my bad I changed some things and the links went bad. Here are the pictures I posted originally. Here are some more pictures of our Kennedy Space Center trip with the final picture being the Space Shuttle Atlantis on the pad. It is covered so this is the only view available. If you look close you can see the underside of the wings and tail. It was awesome seeing a piece of history, but sad in knowing there will be a 5 year stretch (according to our tour guide) before anything else is up and ready. You could tell they are all very sad about that. Lots of people will be losing t
  19. Teaser .... Vehicle Assembly Building More to come.
  20. Our first time in Loop 1700 was this weekend. Came in Friday night in the monsoon. Afraid it was going to again be our theme as rain seems to follow us on vacations. Saturday was not the prettiest of mornings, but we set off for our destination - Kennedy Space Center. We had not been in more years than I can remember. DH wanted to get pictures of the last shuttle on the pad so we booked the extra tour. Since we booked ahead we got the 2nd tour of the morning. Fun tour although the most you can see of the shuttle is the fuel tanks. Once the tour was over the rain started, but by then we
  21. A weekend end of June at FW as a base for Kennedy Space Center, a weekend in July and again in August at FW and a week in October.
  22. We are going at the end of June for a quick weekend. Taking a day trip to Kennedy Space Center. Haven't been in years. We don't want to leave the dog's so long in the RV. Has anyone used the new kennel facilities at the Kennedy Space Center. The new ones are air conditioned and free. Our other choice would be Best Friends paying an arm and leg.
  23. We have used Innova for several years. Jesse, our Golden always has allergy problems from Jan. through May. We won't change foods with these two as they are too old (13/14), but I am thinking about Nature's Variety for our next. Kibble, canned and raw to choose from.
  24. Can't wait to see how sick I get on this ride. Hubby and I always get sick on it, but we will have to do it if we can get in.
