  1. A little update.

The new boathouse in DTD has a photo opportunity. I'm not sure of the details, as it's a third party taking the photos.

The part I wanted to share is, if you have photos taken at the boathouse and get one of their cards, you can take that card to their customer service desk and have those photos added to your photopass account. The only way to get them added to your account though is to stop by the customer service desk at the boathouse.

Photopass does not have a way to look these photos up and no way to add them at our view stations.

  2. Very cool.

This would be a good place for me to acknowledge that you are responsible for the TCD twins becoming Star Wars fans. You were the one who encouraged me to have them watch Hyperspace Hoopla at one of the Star Wars Weekends at Hollywood Studios. At the time, they had not seen any of the movies (and I had only seen a couple). We loved Hyperspace Hoopla, and saw it every chance we could after that (until last year, that is :( )

Fast forward to today, and they have seen all of the movies several times. One of them texted me a link to the new trailer yesterday, before the link was posted here. They're geeked for the new movie.

    Glad I could help.

I miss the hoopla. I hope this year they have something that can replace it, now that Disney owns the franchise.

  3. I am not on the fence about the midnight showing. I will be there (unless I somehow score a way to see it earlier).

I also liked Big Hero 6.

    TCD

I have seen every Star Wars movie on opening day with the exception of episode 2. I was deployed at the time and wasn't able to see it opening day. I was deployed for episode 1s release date as well, but Lucas built us a nice state of the art theater at our base in Saudi Arabia so he could release the movie over there for the troops. So I skimmed by on that one.

  4. Duh. I wasn't even thinking of that. I thought you were hinting at something more obscure.

As far as rules go. There aren't any, but like TCD said, there's no fun in posting a picture of a rock on the ground that no one will ever be able to guess. Most try to keep it to something recognizable. But any area of WDW could be used. Parks, resorts, shops, whatever. As long as it's on WDW property.

  5. First answer is yes. You can use photo pass cards on a memory maker account. You can also use magic bands, park tickets, and the memory maker card. Linking the accounts and sharing photos is by far the easiest way to ensure everyone's photos show up. If you wear a magic band on the rides your ride photos show up automatically.

Second answer is a bit tricky. If you purchase the full blown price of memory maker then any and all photos that are visible in the memory maker account can be downloaded. Duesnt matter when they were taken. Now if the prepurchase memory maker was bought then there is a 72 hour hold on the account. only photos taken after that 72 hour hold (hold starts when memory maker is purchased) can be downloaded. So it really depends on when memory maker was bought and what type was bought.

  6. The kiosks are for those who do not have magic bands. You can associate the photos to your park ticket or memory maker card.

If you have a magic band just walk off the ride. Nothing more needs to be done.

And some rides have photos and videos that can be only associated to a magic band. Like the mine train.

  7. Im confused by your question.

The only thing you need to do is link Memory Maker to your My Disney Experience account and designate an owner, the one who will downlaod the photos. Once that is done, youre all set. When the photos show up in your account, you can download them.

If everyone is listed under one account, you have nothing more to do. If there seperate accounts for certain individuals, link the accounts under friends and family and be sure to click the share photos option. Any family member can use their magic band to associate photos to the account. If you can see the photo in your account, you can downlaod it.

Memory maker does not need to be linked to tickets or magic bands. Just the MDE account.

You can use your magic band, park ticket, or traditional photopass cards to collect photos during your visit.

Remember that ride photos are automaticaly associated to your account if you wear your magic band on the ride. No need to stop at the kiosk after the ride.

And just an FYI, you do not need tickets, or even a reservation to purchase memory maker. Just an MDE account. You can pre purchase it, buy it during your vacation, or even wait until you get home after your vacation to buy it.

Theres even a 1 day memory maker option for those who buy a 1 day park ticket.
