  1. Let's head into World Showcase........when this report started there were probably not enough seats on this bad boy for all the readers and commenters: Most of the readers could now fit into one of these: Who knew Troy Aikman had a gig in the American Adventure back then? Continued in the next post.......
  2. What? me too....it was cool to see the old pics I mean, in 1982, it was so obvious that future American astronauts were going to where silver spacesuits and rainbows when they went to space in the new state of the art American space shuttles that we would have in 2015. Right?
  3. There is another update on the horizon and here it comes. Check out this past gem: The Seas Minus Nemo and Friends: In my next post you will see some Old School Epcot Center Streetmosphere and character greets....
  4. Caught up! Love the moon over space mountain pic. The rest of the nighttime pics were good too.
  5. Great updates. Rotting RC is sad, but still a must see on each trip. On our last trip, you could not go past the old ticket window.....it was barricaded off while they reshingled the roof for MBYBBQ.
  6. DW and I have talked about doing this down the road when the kids re out of school.....road trip to different baseball stadiums, national parks, DDD eats, etc.......in a brand new Moho maybe. Sounds fun to me.
  7. As luck would have it, I have acquired a couple pics of the VIP lounge currently used by Chevrolet employees at Test Track: Posh digs there for Chevy. ETA: All GM employees can still use the lounge.
  8. He should have. Instead they honored farm kids with an Avante Garde performer who acts like an out of control garden weed.
  9. I posted some new updates in my "back in time" TR that include Discovery Island Pics.....i think the new updates start on Page 26. The report link is in my signature below.
  10. I know DW and I visited the lounge once but I cannot remember if that was TT or WOM. All we had to say is that our dads worked for GM and they let us up. People as a whole were more community oriented and had better manners back then. Ramming giant monstrosities into other peoples heels back then would not have been acceptable in the mind of the person with the stroller; at least not near as prevalent as it is today.
  11. Ever since the Ironhorse ordeal, I have told myself I will check the DDD site before hitting the road.
  12. i guess i was a bit late on that one.....moving on.... Kali River Rapids?
  13. Perhaps she is used to posting over at Voldy? You can be attacked for looking cross-eyed while typing over there.
  14. I also believe it is the Cheshire Cat, but since Mo already guessed Cheshire Cafe.....I will say it is on the bricks near the bathrooms between Teacups and the Merida Meet and Greet.
  15. Long before government auto industry bailouts...err, well long before the recent bailouts but a few years after the government Chrysler bailout of 1979, Generous Motors sponsored an Epcot Center pavilion. This pavilion was like no other pavilion to our family and the family we traveled with. That is because we were all from a GM town; Flint, Michigan. Flint, Michigan was a booming metropolis and if Detroit was the Motor City, Flint was definitely the Robin to its Batman. That is not the case today. Sadly, Flint has become the absolute worst city in Michigan, and probably right up there f
  16. see Gwen's post absolutely right "Veggie-Veggie-Fruit-Fruit!" correct Thanks Mo good call depends on what time the 3:00 parade is today I have to say, I liked it when I was little, but it would very outdated today, like much of Future World. I agree wholeheartedly. Epcot needs to scrap Energy, Wonders of Life, and Imagination.....and use their collective imaginations to add new attractions.
