  1. The 500 loop looks good and is repopulating nicely. Still no construction activity in 1400 and almost 100% full of campers. 900 loop has some maintenance work going on and currently has no water...... Which has high degree of irony since my new camper has a pretty bad water leak every time it rains, so no water where we need it and too much water where we don't!
  2. No seriously, I have looked at every single bus driver's name tag to see if I can find Lou. Not really a "stalking" thing, but it have to ride a bunch of busses while I am here and it would be fun to find "Lou". Unfortunately we aren't at the camper much since we are out at parks and running around the fort so it would be almost pointless to have people stopping by the site.....and I really don't have any pie so I would expect to be yelled at for being unprepared.
  3. So we have been at the Fort a few days and will be here a while longer. We have ridden many busses and my new hobby is looking for THE LOU. I don't have any pie so I haven't found him yet, but I will! Some would say I need new hobbies, but, I never listen. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  4. Seems to be just routine maintenance. 700 recently closed for "culvert work" and a few other loops are on the schedule to close as well, not sure for exactly what. I was shocked to see the "permanent" camper moved from the end of the 700 loop. In the last few years it has become one of our favorite drive by's. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  5. We are normally 1400 loop people, but when we arrived today they told us no 1400 loop availability due to it being closed soon. Something about a construction project! As Captain Jack would say...."argggggh" So we are in loop 900. So far so good! If there are any fiends out and about, look for the FF plate on the front of the Moho.
  6. That is great info! They say no overnight stays, but I figured they just didn't want people popping out the slides and dry camping for days. I will just need a few hours of sleep then we will go the the Fort and see how early they will let us in! This trip we will be checking in on a Tuesday, not sure if that helps or hurts us but we will find out.
  7. We tried talking our kids in to stopping at a campground along the way and they said,"NO, we want to get to Disney as quick as possible". So we are leaving very early from Pa and driving to the rest area around Orlando for a couple hours sleep then off to the fort early. Darn kids an their excitement!
  8. I will check some spec requirements when I get to work tomorrow and give you an idea what your looking for. Nothing under 2000 mah for sure Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  9. I got all excited because I knew something useful.....and that's not normal for me! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  10. Finally, something I am qualified to help with instead of just giving my two cents! The cheap external battery chargers will definitely not work for the iPad, but might work for your iPhone. You should look for a very high MAH rating in order to charge an iPad and a moderately high MAH for the iPhone. Most of these devices that are worth using are at least $50 but they are well worth the money. Small and lightweight so they charge your devices while you continue on with your day.
  11. The CM had the first person in our group match mickeys and we all went through.
  12. Since when is ice free at the comfort centers at FW? Always takes quarters when I go, maybe I am going to the wrong one!
  13. We got AAA for our June and September trips. The savings were pretty nice for our premium sites.
  14. Definitely wasn't $6 when we were there in March. I can justify $2, but if it goes to $6 I will be buying one of these ice machines immediately (or sooner)!
  15. Awesome graphics! I am hoping to get mine put on soon now that old man winter is starting to give up.
  16. I am almost positive you can re enter the same park on the same day with a normal ticket. There are some super smart people on here that will give you a definite answer soon.
  17. We would usually get in around 1-2am and need to get some sleep. We would just need to sleep until the morning then we could waste time in the parks until they let us check in. We could sleep at a Flying J or rest area if they wouldn't let us hang out in the overflow lot, but I would rather be there and done with driving on check in day. I have seen 5ers and motor homes in the overflow lot at all hours and some have even been there for day! I was just hoping we could take advantage of it for a few hours.
  18. Has anyone arrived at the fort very late at night (or very early in the morning) and been able to park in the overflow lot until check in? After this last crazy adventure it got me thinking about driving the MH straight through and just sleeping in the overflow lot until they let us check in the next day.
  19. Gassed and then some! Now the kids want to go to Magic Kingdom until 1am tonight since they slept in the car. Oh well, off we go. O O I -- -- - -
  20. So as many times as we have been to WDW, there are very few firsts left.....but today I checked in to two different WDW resorts IN ONE DAY and slept in both of them! Explanation: Yesterday we drove through the day from Pa and were planning to stop short for the night an not check in for our resv at Wilderness Lodge until today (Thursday). Instead everyone got excited to get there and decided to push on. So we called Disney and reserved a room at Pop Century for the night (cheapo). Checked in at 1am and slept a few hours before heading to check in at Wilderness Lodge. 2 different resorts ---
  21. A little off topic, but not totally.....does anyone know what kind of discount cast members get at the campground?
  22. You are right, FL resident AP holders are probably the reason the mouse doesn't offer anything. I could even live with not getting any dining deals as we eat at the camper most of the time anyway, but every other resort has a discount off rack rate for AP holders. Being that I am a "cheapo" I am looking for any deal I can get. For now the AAA deal is the best I have found.
