Place is completely empty and the current wait time to ride is indefinitely.

Glad there finishing it and not shelving it.

Several sources reported that several permits were filed for Reflections in the last few days.
I saw that

I like Disney also, but geez folks get a life! Be happy you and your family are safe, don't have the virus, have food, a place to live, a job and TP!
I agree.

Am I the only one that can hear the sound of corduroy pants while looking at the picture?
I never liked those.

It's cool but I wouldn't really want it. Now if it was a 4x4 sitting on 40" mud grips that would be another story.

Have you seen this yet?
Super job by these people. Made me laugh, hope you do too.
That's great

It should have been done 2 weeks ago along with WDW. Until April first.

Oh no, don’t get cynical on us.
You know your daughter is going to love having you buy buckets of sand so she can find those gems!

She would prefer to play with her dog at the park over that.

That really seems like a waste of space to me. Swings would have been better, but I know they can't charge for swinging.

That's pretty cool.

That’s what they did when they opened Flight of Passage in Pandora, and the wait in the standby line was 4 hours plus for months after it opened. FOP had its own operation problems, but still had more capacity than ROTR does now. If they tried traditional standby plus FP, the standby time would be over 6 hours probably.
A better question is why didn’t they open it as standby only like they did with the Millennium Falcon ride? The fact that they didn’t confirms that ROTR operates so inconsistently that they couldn’t risk having a standby line, as people would wait for hours only to be evacuated or told that it will be another hour while they tried to get the ride back on line. That would be a PR nightmare. Using the boarding group system lets them hide the shortcomings of the attraction and the fact that they opened it before it was ready to handle the crowds.
Lying to guests in this way lets them keep selling tickets. Maximizing short term profits on a quarter by quarter basis is all that matters to current management.

I am ok with the BP system. I just wish they would keep the park open late enough to guarantee everyone a ride that day if they got there within the first hour of park opening.

In the first two weeks of January, those who got into the park could start trying for a boarding group immediately after they entered, and it was first come first served. Currently, they let everyone in and then flip the boarding group switch on at 8 am. Thousands are trying at the same time for hundreds of spots. Most people lose.

We checked in on 1/4 and didn't hit DHS until Monday the 6th. It was opening at 7a.m. then. We parked our truck at 5:27 a.m. and got in line. We stood just past where you would buy tickets. They let us in the park about 6:30 and walked us back towards GE, then a cast member started telling us how it would work. He said open the app at 6:59 and then at 7 we could try for the boarding pass. We got 32. Part of the whole way Disney is doing the boarding pass to me is they figured out a way to create hype. The only way you can ride is if you are there first thing in the morning and you have to stay a good part of the day to ride. And thanks to all the vloggers every one has to ride it. Disney always wins.

It seems like it has only gotten harder to get on the ride since we were there the first 2 weeks of January. I used a iPhone xr on sprint service with no problems. We did it once both weeks.

I know so many people that have quit going, and the place is more packed then ever.

I am torn on these ridiculous price increases. I hate paying more money each year, but also the parks are crowded AF. The recession years around 2008 spoiled me. I wish a lot of these people would pick something else to do with their money and stay away from Disney. lol
Agreed and the earlier 2000's were even better.

We were there in early January for 2 weeks and we didn't hear any construction. But I agree that the new barn is nice but does not fit the Fort theme. I really think its being themed to Reflections, which makes me wonder how much more of the theme will change around the Marina area of the Fort all the wood benches have been changed to metal.

I loved the trams as a kid.

If you tried yesterday, you would've had the best of both worlds!
Up early to get your boarding pass, then stay late to ride.
Opening was delayed 7 hours, then when they were calling back the pass groups there was over a 2 hour wait in line which was all the way outside of Bantuu and into Grand Avenue.
I read about that, it's crazy.

Some body has way to much time.

We were lazy and said screw it....we'll catch it next time
I don't blame you at all. Half of me wishes we would have done the same thing. We were there for 2 weeks and only on our last day there did we stay at the Fort all day and relax.
Closed till 2021?

I saw this in a couple places today. When you read the reopening plans it doesn't even sound like it will be worth going to me, at least for awhile. Maybe if you lived close. Only time will tell, it's ashame really.
