  1. More speculation posted on Mouseplanet today... http://www.mouseplanet.com/9547/Walt_Disney_World_Resort_Update
  2. Honestly, I hardly ever used it before. I was actually considering canceling, but it's cheap enough and the app definitely made it worth it for us.
  3. There are a few other restaurants at Disney that you can get Restaurant.com certificates for... Shula's Steak House (Swan & Dolphin) bluezoo (Swan & Dolphin) Il Mulino (Swan & Dolphin) Kimonos (Swan & Dolphin) House of Blues (Downtown Disney) Loads of restaurants nearby too.
  4. The shoe tree lives!!! Couldn't get a really great pic, but there was one pair of sneakers up in the tree when we were there in November. If you look hard in the middle, near the trunk, you can spot them - look for the laces.
  5. Thanks everyone for another awesome day of photos!!! Osborne Lights - Nov 2010
  6. Me too!!! I keep saying I should get back to the cross stitching, but can't. put. laptop. down. :D
  7. well hopefully I won't be banished forever form this site :dropjaw: I think you might actually have to kill someone for that to happen. :D WELCOME BOB!!
  8. What is that app called? I want it! Lines - put out by Touring Plan. There's a freebie version and if you have a TP subscription you get full access to everything. We used it every single day in November and found their wait times to be very accurate - often more accurate than the actual posted times at the attractions. Also gives you all show times for that day, crowd predictions, etc. Oh and you can participate by posting times yourself too. I was amazed a few times to see that a dozen other people had posted times for attractions within minutes of us walking by. Had me looking around
  9. I'm with you on not wanting to have to plan every minute of my vacation. The more we go and the longer we stay the LESS I plan. If we walk up to a ride and the wait is more than 15-20 minutes we generally keep walking and come back later. Actually with the Lines app on my Droid this year, we cut down on a whole lot of walking by just checking that first! It'll be interesting to see the details of what all that really means. If we're talking about sort of a FastPass type thing - we're maybe you're allowed to "book" 1 or 2 a day, then I don't suppose it'll have much impact on stand by. The
  10. Tom Staggs - President of Parks and Resorts - gave a presentation to Disney shareholders this week and mentioned some upcoming Guest Experience things coming down the pike... As reported on WDW Today 2/18...
  11. Little known fact.... you do not need an ADR to eat at the sushi bar at California Grill as long as there are open seats (and there often are). We had the good fortune to sit there one night and have head sushi chef Yoshi all to ourselves. She's been there since 1995 and is considered one of the best sushi chefs in the U.S. and is quite a character. Watching her interact with the rest of the staff at CG you get the feeling that she the woman in charge.. and doesn't take any baloney. This is the place we think has THE best sushi on Disney property. Here are 2 of our favorites... Spicy Kaz
