  1. This is true. They do tend to depreciate rather rapidly in the first couple of years. We bought our Kiwi new, but our class C and our class A were "new to us" and saved us a bunch over new.
  2. That's exactly what we did when we bought our Jayco Kiwi. They had already sold the floor model at the Harrisburg show, so they ordered us one at the same price with the same configuration. Saved us a few thousand dollars.
  3. Clark: "A year's subscription to the Jelly of the Month Club." Eddie: "Clark, that's the gift that keeps on giving the whole year." Clark: "That it is, Edward. That it is." :rofl2: My company had to take a hard look at how they wrote our job descriptions which were written by some idiot who had no idea what we do in IT. Because of some obscure Pennsylvania law and the way my job description is written, all the IT personnel at our offices here in PA were redesignated as "Non-exempt". It made us ineligible for the bonus program, but did allow us to earn overtime. The catch is that I wou
  4. Wel, you have to feed 'em. Flamingos are pink because of their diet. So go out and get some plastic shrimp... :rofl2:
  5. They know all those families are dying to get out of the snow up north and will pay Disney. No company on the planet is as adept at separating our dollars from our wallets like Disney
  6. iGoogle is a customizable page you can configure to your own preferences (style, news, entertainment, etc) and then set as your home page. If you have a gmail account you can have a link to it on the page as well. www.google.com/ig
  7. I talked to the dealer last night and they found a buyer for our old rig. The lady purchasing the motorhome will be using it to transport her dogs to dog shows. I hope they have many years of enjoyment with it.
  8. This is a great report. The pictures are terrific.
  9. My new rig has one built in, and a washer/dryer too. Haven't tried it yet, but it has to beat hell out of the cost of using the laundry at the Fort.
  10. Hmmm....something about that place says it used to be A KOA
  11. I think we just found a new way to identify fellow fiends from a distance: 1. Buy big, purple underwear 2. Put a clothesline on your site 3. Hang underwear purchased in step 1 on clothesline set up in step 2 :flush2:
  12. Started camping with my folks when I was about 9 years old. I am now 50, and to date, I have never seen CS like they have at the Fort. Simply amazing.
  13. Yes it does. I got the plan out of an old copy of WoodSmith magazine. They have the plan on line for sale at PlansNow.com: http://plansnow.com/dn1126.html The bookcase also came from WoodSmith - I made mine without doors: http://plansnow.com/dn1128.html
  14. Sometimes I make furniture: Sometimes I turn pens and pencils:
  15. Boat: (n) 1. a hole in the water into which one pours money The two best days of boat ownership: the day you buy it and the day you sell it.
  16. We couldn't turn the deal down. The previous owners used it locally and put a whopping 3100 miles on it, and they bought it with just about every option available, right down to the satellite antenna, washer/dryer, and vacuum system. Here is an album of pictures: http://s264.photobucket.com/albums/ii184/jcjrsmith/Tiffin%20Allegro%20Bay/
  17. We recently traded in our 2002 Class C Jayco Greyhawk for a 2005 Tiffin Allegro Bay. Today, our old rig showed up on the dealer's web site. http://www.fretzrv.com/Page.aspx/diid/5225209/list/InventoryList/pageId/16963/view/Details/2002-Jayco-Greyhawk-26SS.aspx We had a lot of fun in that camper, and I have a lot of great memories. I think whoever purchases this one will be getting a gem.
