  1. We're having a great time! You should see the room they stayed in on their first trip. It was nice! It's gotten very pricey, though.
  2. Was going to say this same thing....they sure are living it up on their vacation!! They're having a blast!
  3. Went by Best Friends to play with Buzz and Dakota for a while. We wanted to bring them to the dog park at the Fort, but we knew it would be too wet. At Best Friends the dog park is mostly artificial grass, so the dogs don't get very dirty playing there. We think we might bring them to the Fort tomorrow to play. Now, we're back at the campsite eating and being lazy. Here are some pictures from our visit at Best Friends.
  4. I wish they'd keep flowers in the water year-round. I had a bite - it was pretty good. Like a small lemon meringue pie!
  5. We are at Epcot now. Showered and then had oatmeal and coffee in the tent, before heading over. Oh, and I finally got my sign out! We rode the Nemo ride and Spaceship Earth and then browsed in the art shop. We are in France right now for a snack: Lemon tart: Macaroon: This guy is loving the weather! They were cleaning the manatee tanks this morning: Flowers and monorail!
  6. Still rainy here! I think it's gonna start to clear up by tomorrow morning. That salad is very good. I got it the last time we were there, and Kenneth had tried some. This time, we both just had to have one! We are having a lot of fun now, rain or not! You know, we were in such a hurry to get to the boat that I didn't get any pictures of the construction. I think they had about six structures up, but they have to be finished out.
  7. I don't think I have ever had it Oh, it's great! There's a layer of chocolate under the custard! We try to make the best of the weather. We just get out there in it. :) The best part about all of this rain - it's comfortable in the tent, even in the middle of the afternoon. Thanks! We'll definitely take a rainy day at Disney over a sunny day at home!
  8. And this is my favorite creme brûlée at Disney!
  9. A 4am start? I need you to talk to the other 3/4 of my family on how to do this. Sucks about the ice. We had no problems in the 800 loop while we were there. Score on the 'home delivery' tho. A 4:00 start is not the norm for us! Even though it was good to get started early, that won't happen often. :)
  10. This morning, we got a later start than we planned. Since we had the dogs in the tent with us, we had to take turns going to the showers. Once we were cleaned up and dressed, we walked the dogs and then took them back to Best Friends. We tend to keep an eye on the weather forecasts when we're on vacation and we knew that it was supposed to rain a lot today. Because of that, we signed the dogs up for Stay and Play (a four-hour playgroup with other dogs). Best Friends has webcams in the play areas so we can watch the dogs in their playgroup. While we were at lunch, we think we found them (
  11. I prefer breakfast over any other meal at the Wave. Went for lunch one day and I wasn't too impressed. Yay! Page one! :D Thanks, feeling much better! About the weather.... I'm glad the ice ended up working out too. We got 20 pounds of ice for $2! What a deal! More food pictures coming! When I travel with my sister, it's bad.....we're like, "No one touch your food until we get pictures!"
  12. Thank you! I was much better the next day. I guess I just needed a good night of sleep!
  13. Yesterday, we ended up waking up at 4:00 in the morning. We went to the comfort station to get our showers before it started to get busy. We made some coffee in the tent, and tried to plan our day. Magic Kingdom opened early for extra magic hours, so we got on the boat to head that way. We went to guest relations to pick up our premium annual passes and Tables in Wonderland card. We didn't even go into the park - we had other plans. We walked to the Contemporary, for breakfast at the Wave. This is one of our favorite breakfasts on property. We go here for the buffet because we just
  14. I know a lot of people here have been visiting the Fort for a long time. Last year was our first time staying at the Fort - we enjoyed it so much, we decided to do it again this year! We were on site 1729 last year, and really liked being there. We were close to the comfort station, and the site worked really well for our tent. We faxed a request and asked for that particular site again, but were assigned site 1725. The site we wanted was empty, but this site looked like it would accommodate our tent nicely. We decided to just stick with it. So, here we are. I'll give you a little bit
  15. Looks like the schedule that Mo found is correct! Here's a pic of the schedule we were given:
  16. It cleared out a lot this morning, and then started to fill up this afternoon. Looks like a lot of people here together, a few sites down from us.....they were all arriving around the same time, and lots of cars (people parking on the grass and stuff).
  17. We checked in April 30, but I would think that we have this. I'll try to remember to check in our tent. We're at the Magic Kingdom now, so it will probably be late tonight or tomorrow.
  18. Thanks. We got here at about noon. Took the pups to Best Friends first, and then headed to the campsite. Got our tent and gazebo up, and then stopped working to eat a snack. Really bad storm here right now. We're sitting in the Durango, because it sounded like lightning struck very close. I'll probably start a trip report tonight or tomorrow. Oh, and the ice machine is out of order at this comfort station (1700 loop).
  19. We just finished loading the vehicle. We were going to take the truck, but the check engine light came on (possibly needs a new thermostat). So, we had to load the Durango for this trip. That means no bikes, like originally planned. OMG! We barely got everything in there. I was actually starting to panic, but we finally got everything loaded. Now, to get a few hours of sleep, and then we'll hit the road!
  20. We've asked for 1700 loop as well! We might be neighbors!
  21. Kenneth's been a member since about 1996, I think. When he got a divorce, he had to get his own DVC and bought in at Beach Club. Since then, he's bought another contract at Bay Lake Tower. Owning DVC makes it more affordable for us to head down several times a year, and stay in pretty nice accommodations (and getting discounts on annual passes - we just bought the premium annual pass for $484). We used points at the Fort last year, but couldn't get a site using points, for next week. Using points at the Fort may not have been the best way to use them, but we had plenty of points to use.
  22. I like that little trailer....it would be the perfect size for us and the pups! Scrapple kinda freaks me out. My sister eats it, which is surprising - she's a pretty picky eater. To be honest, I don't remember what's in it - I just remember that there was an ingredient or two that bothered me.
