  1. Cool! I really need to camp at Lake Lanier one day, since it's so close! That way, if the weather gets really bad, we can just pack up and be home in no time! I'm very interested in hearing more!
  2. What an AWESOME trip report! The first time I went to Disneyworld was about 11 years ago, so it's cool to see the changes it's gone through, since it opened!
  3. Thanks, y'all! Buzz is completely back to normal now. I think getting back into our normal routine is good for him.
  4. Buzz had some issues on the way home. He got sick a couple of times (he never gets carsick). He wasn't doing any better the next day, so we took him to the vet yesterday. We were really afraid he might have picked up a bug from another dog, but it turns out he was just stressed. The stress messed him up pretty bad, so the vet gave us some meds and some probiotics to get his system corrected. He seems much better today (thank goodness). In fact, here's Buzz and Dakota getting cozy last night. I didn't take hardly any pictures on my camera. Here's just a few more pictures from our trip
  5. Glad you made it home safely, but I gotta say "Happy to be home" is something you will never hear me say after a Disney trip! We usually pull into the driveway and say "let's turn around and go back!" We usually go home, with the next trip already booked! We know we'll be back in September, hopefully once more before then. The sundae was good. Wish I had one right now! That BBQ Slaw Dog is OUTSTANDING! We used forks as well. :jumpforjoy We came home and made these at home the next day. We used the pre-packaged Jack Daniel's BBQ pork and deli coleslaw from Publix (we were to
  6. That creme brûlée looks so good! And, I can't go to BOG without ordering the pork. That's my favorite meal in that park.
  7. Happy to be home. Now, we have to get the car unloaded and get back into work mode. I was so happy to take a shower at home today - it's great to get in the shower without having flip flops on! I think I might have a few pictures on the camera that I can add to this report. I didn't do very well about taking pictures, but I'll see if there's anything worthwhile to share.
  8. Loving your report! Sucks about all of the rain earlier, but it sounds like y'all made the best of it. I love breakfast at Kouzzina - haven't been in a while and I guess it'll be gone before I head back down. I don't know what they'll do about the names and scanning Magic Bands. Would the guys that have girl names or the girls with guy names have to show ID to prove their name? Kenneth has a great aunt named Kenneth (she was never a he, by the way - lol), so I'm sure she would raise some eyebrows every time she went through.
  9. Finally caught up. Ready for some more updates!
  10. Now I'm reporting live from Georgia! We just crossed the line from Florida into Georgia. It took us a while, but we got everything packed and into the car. The ice machine on our loop had a new sign on it, directing us to the ice machine between all four loops (1600-1900). This is the machine that wasn't working the other day and had the old-looking "Out of Order" sign on it. So, we drove over and parked right across from that comfort station. We put our eight quarters in......and got nothing! This whole ice fiasco has been ridiculous! Kenneth flagged down a cast member, on a golf cart
  11. We're sad it's over, too! This has been a really great trip. I have a hard time doing a trip report when I get home. With all of the unpacking and going back to work, I just get too lazy to sit down and try to remember what we did. I think we learned a little bit after camping, for the first time, last year. Having a comfortable outdoor area has really made a difference. We thought about going to buy some ice, but we don't have a golf cart or our bikes, so we would have to rely on walking/buses to get the ice to our cooler. We were afraid a good bit would melt by the time we got b
  12. When we got back from downtown Disney today, we started to take apart some of our campsite. We emptied out the car and laid a tarp down inside (we're going to be putting some dirty stuff in there). I took down all of the lights from inside the gazebo and we took down the tarp on top of the gazebo. We loaded the cooler into the car and we'll drive to a comfort station for ice, in the morning (ice machine here still doesn't work - that's a bit of a pisser). As we were messing around at our site today, Lou dropped by to say hello. It was great to meet him. Mindy had also stopped by the ot
  13. I would have said "no need for the potty now, just new pants :) Ha ha......I'm surprised Kenneth and I remained calm around that thing!
  14. I so agree. Great job! How could anyone pass a snake, at the Fort, and not get a picture? Not quite as daring as when TCD took the picture of the gator, but it's a start. The toilet is GREAT for in the middle of the night. We don't have to run all the way to the comfort station!
  15. Sounds like an awesome trip! It was great meeting you today. I really can't wait to hear about the Alaskan cruise!
  16. Not to freak you out, but yeah.....it was right there by y'all! :) It was gone when I came out of the bathroom. I guess it went back into hiding! It looks big to me! I am freaked out by snakes. I only call it little because a few weeks ago we had a bigger one (same kind of snake) in the bushes by our front door. And one year, we were unloading our car after a Disney trip, and there was a HUGE one stretched out in front of our front door. We couldn't get in our back door at that time, so we just waited until it went away. Omg. The whole campground would have heard me screaming
  17. We had our first snake encounter this morning. This little guy was hanging out near the comfort station. That's part of the reason I'm not a fan of heading to the restroom in the middle of the night. Because of that, we're camping with one of these babies: It's really unbelievable how well we sleep in the tent. This bed is so cozy!
  18. Last night, we went to Magic Kingdom. Our first stop - the ice cream shop by Starbucks, for the All-American sundae (usually vanilla and chocolate ice cream - we asked for all chocolate)! We didn't stick around for very long last night. Rode a few things and went back to the tent to crash. Today is our last full day here. We signed the dogs up for Stay and Play again, so we'll look for them on the webcam later. I wanted to do some shopping so we came over to Downtown Disney. Right now, we're at the Earl of Sandwich. I'm having the chicken bacon avocado wrap with some pasta salad.
  19. We started out our morning with breakfast at Trail's End. It took us about 25 minutes to get seated. I didn't get any pictures, since it was a buffet (I don't really do buffet pictures). We decided to walk back to our campsite after breakfast, since we were so stuffed! And then, we went over to Best Friends to get the pups. We brought them over and walked them straight over to the dog park. We were over there for about an hour and a half and met some great people and dogs. I really love how friendly people are at the campgrounds. Now, we're under the gazebo resting - we're ti
  20. That slaw dog was really good! We had a lot of fun, despite all the rain we had last night. We learned to put a tarp on the gazebo this time around. It was very cheap and isn't very waterproof. We wanted to make sure we could sit under it even if it rains. Now, when the rain's blowing sideways, it doesn't matter - with a light rain, it's nice. I think Kenneth and I totally need to make some of these barbecue slaw dogs. Who comes up with this stuff? - an absolute genius, that's who!
  21. It was really cool! I think we were both sort of in shock, because it wasn't a cheap meal! They insisted that the credits would just go to waste. That is a double dose of pixie dust. For sure! Dang it! I totally forgot to take a picture! I think we were so hungry, we just tore into it! It was quite the hot dog, too! It was the barbecue slaw dog.....a hot dog piled high with pulled pork, barbecue sauce, and slaw. It had to be eaten with a fork.
  22. So tonight we were waiting for a Settlement bus, when a cast member pulled up on a golf cart. He asked where we were going and we told him the marina. He told us to get on and he'd give us a ride. He took us all the way to the sidewalk and there was a Magic Kingdom boat unloading. It was awesome! I wish we would have gotten his name. We stayed in the Magic Kingdom until closing time. On the way out, we stopped at Casey's to get some corn dog nuggets (we wanted a snack to eat while we were walking out). The guy in front of us asked if we were paying cash. He told us he had dining pla
  23. We try to make sure they have a good time while they're down here. The lemon tart was yummers! Thanks!
