  1. Good advice!! This past time we did well, the pups were fine for 4 hours or so in the crates. We came back for mid day rest from the parks and did a walk. I put both the crates where the dinette bed is w/o the cushions so they had their beds and we had walking room. We will be doing more relaxing and less park time so that will make a difference.I crate trained the oldest b/c I worked when she was little and the other was a foster so he loves his crate too.
  2. This is Bob and Gwen, Bob is bigger than Gwen now but he's still under a year old.
  3. We have 2 dogs that I'm up in the air about bringing. They both came along last time when we had a larger trailer. My 9 year old husky/lab, Gwen, is set in her ways and can be a barker and doesn't do well in dog parks. She has been snappy/grumpy in the last few month, so she is confined away from my kids. She's happier with her own space and the girls can't annoy her. Our other dog, Bob, who is one, is just a big dumb happy mix breed. He aims to please but doesn't realize he's 80+ pounds. We adopted Bob as a replacement dog, we know Gwen is getting up there and ours girls will be devast
  4. I kind of got that vibe from a few Wilderness guests we shared some chats with on the bus. It was kind of like, "Oh, you're at the campsite, hows THAT?" I got annoyed with this one gal and went into how I never have to worry about bedbugs because we have our beds with us.
  5. Welcome!! We are on our third trailer in 4 years. First was too small once we started having babies, second was a lemon and our third one just arrived this Monday! We had an older Surburban(99) and the dealers kept trying to push us to bigger TT's, be careful and know your vehicle! We have a 2500 HD now but still downsized to a 20 ft, its all we really need. We used to be tent campers so we are minimalist at heart. Everyone here is great and so helpful! Good luck shopping!
  6. Our first trip with our 30ft trailer was from southern coastal NC to middle Illinois, hubs did all the driving and we took our time. We had a 6 month old and a 2 year old so we went as far as they would let us each day. I'll be driving solo with the kids down to Fl with a 20 ft trailer, I plan on taking two maybe three days since we will be hitting the tail end of Turkey day.
  7. Awesome! Glad it worked, I'll put a word in to my weather guys for you, no promises
  8. I was checking out the store and was wondering how long it takes for the Fiend signs to be delivered? I've definitely found a home here and want to show my support. I've even thought of spray painting some flamingos.........
  9. Hi there! We're a hour over the NC/SC border, love me some SC beaches! I'm thinking of doing a trip down that way here soon, it's been way to long!
  10. I was able to pick a few days here and there over the last week to get what I wanted. I found that mid morning I got more options to pop up when searching. Good luck!
  11. Love all the advice! We are some what new to RVing and were forced to trade in this past weekend. We lost the axle on the way back from Disney last month, last straw for a 14 month old TT who was in the shop most of the time. It's smaller and more appealing in comparison to our previous 30 fter, it's 20 w/o a pop out. I've never towed anything but I'm a good driver and we have a 2500hd that should make it easy. I practiced lining up to the hitch after combining home from the store and I was surprisingly accurate on the first go. I taught myself to drive my husbands manual Jeep on the fir
  12. Awesome! Id love to meet some others from the area even if its virtual :) I grew up here and married military, now we're stuck in NC. Planning on making a trip to the coast here soon for a trial run, love the proximity of the beach!
  13. We just came back from the Fort a few weeks ago (our 1st family WDW trip) and I booked for Christmas while there. Its just going to be me and my girls (4, 2). I've already been told I 'm crazy by the extended family but I never listen to them regardlessly :raspberry: Any suggestions for travel and our stay? I've not taken the RV out without hubs before but plan on some weekend trips between now and then just to get the hang of it. I started to look at spring dates this morning too, I think I love the Fort!
