  1. We went this past August and loved it, one of our favorites! I think they all have their bad days. We didn't like Askershus Banquet hall and everyone seems to love that one.

  3. Another Jason fan! I'm a stay at home mom with access to a computer all day, I couldn't for the life of me get a ressie. I gave it over to Jason and he took care of us!
  4. We drive to Raleigh to shop quite often, I went to college in Greensboro. We were talking about doing a NC/SC gathering at Myrtle Beach sometime, keep an eye out for it. Great idea for the crock pot!
  5. Thanks for all the great replies! I'm still trying to shake my apprehensions but things are going smoothly! I've booked for Halloween and Christmas at the fort, not to mention all the little places I want to hit in between :)
  6. REREAD and still question the "policy" referenced, it doesn't seem legit, seems like she didn't want to get caught and threw out a line of BS to whom ever she encountered.
  7. A few local guys have set ups like this for their race cars, it allows for room to drag all the tools to the race and work on issues.
  8. Kids are going to cry and they run when excited, they are kids and it is Disney World, where the major draw is for human families.
  9. I "forgot" to empty my refillable mug aka beer mug a few times this past August
  10. We were at the park this past August and found we could not live without FroggToggs, they were a life saver! Kept us from getting overheated, especially the little ones. they would lay on them in the stroller and take naps. We bought them because they were highly recommended and I was hesitant b/c of the price but they are worth every penny!
  11. I like my trucks, but some people prefer the mini vans, not judging. I think the expedition would serve you well with the low milage. Cargo vans are also a good option, you can find them cheap.
  12. It looks solid, not sure about gas milage, you may want to check that out. Have you thought about a mini van?
  13. We've been rearranging our tow vehicle vs trailer for awhile now......I don't think you'll have any problems with that as a tow vehicle. Are you looking for 4x4 only?
  14. Where do you hook it to in your truck bed? I was looking online and a guy bent the mess out of his bed trying to pull up a cart.
  15. Exactly what I've been looking to do! I've got the winch, just trying to figure out placement.
  16. Nice! Those are a dime a dozen around these parts! I actually found one with duck blinds......
  17. We have two kids in carseats, one front facing and the other rear facing, 2 75# plus dogs and two adults in a crew cab 2013 Chevy 2500hd. We had the dogs in the kennels in the truck bed under the camper top on the way down to the Fort. On the way home however, due losing our axle and sitting on 95 for 5 hours waiting for a tow it was too hot for the pups. We fit and it would have been better if the larger dog was more mature and didn't jump all over the place. We did have a 99 Suburban 1500 that we traded in for the hd, world of towing difference! If we could have found an Excursion we m
  18. Thats what I'm looking for, I live 30 minutes from Pinehurst, there has got to be some used ones up there for cheap! Thanks for all the info and I'm still looking for others input too:)
  19. So here's the story, we have two trips planned to the Fort between now and the first of the year. Both these trips and any others through next summer will be be myself and two kids under 5. For these next two trips I'm looking at spending over $500 for just renting a cart vs putting the money to purchasing a used one. I think it would be easier to have a GC but I also have a bike with attachment to haul the girls around. My other concern is hauling the GC, we have a 2500hd that sits high and I would be handling that solo. I'm a little intimidated with loading/unloading it into our bed. Wha
  20. It depends, one year it snowed on Christmas day! Not usually the case but it is usually chilly, 50's during the day. I live about 2 hours from MB and my grandparents retired there for 10 years. There is always stuff to do and I enjoy the slower pace.
  21. Hello and welcome! Your family will have a great time! We're new to the Trailer life and have learned to go slow and try not to get frustrated. While at the Fort recently I met a wonderful lady in the laundry room on the 500 loop who also had special needs children. We spoke for over an hour about our experiences and she was very happy about Disneys accommodations. I do not have special needs children but I did teach in a special needs environment before deciding to stay home with my girls. My daughter has severe food and other allergies that makes it difficult to travel. I am extremely
  22. Our military passes have blackout dates too, which sucks because we only usually get holidays and the pre-deployment time that they try to get scheduled during a holiday so they don't have to give us anything extra. I've been checking out passes and such to see what the best configuration is going to be, its like taking Algebra all over again!
