  1. Halloween-soon to be done Christmas- won't be there on the actual day but I have seriously though about booking for this year.... Cindys Royal Table- just snagged a ressie at 2:30 this morning! I'm cheap and trying to get it in w/o hubs and while our youngest is still under 3 Marathon-would love for us to do a weekend as a family All the tours- love that stuff! Go with just my husband or at least have someone along to let us have a day to ourselves.

  3. Welcome!!We brought our two 75+ plus dogs with us for our first trip this August. We also have two young children so it was easy to go to the parks, pool, or another resort and come back mid afternoon to take our dogs for a walk. This time I've found a guy who can train and kennel our dogs. He does the whole pack training with his dogs. Our older dog doesn't always do well with other dogs and the pup needs to learn some manners. I'll be happy to report back after this trip to let you know the pros and cons of both trips.
  4. Here is some pictures from my first trip when I was 5. Can anyone tell where the first one was taken? I wanted to recreate this with my girls but it couldn't be done
  5. I think it would be great for what you need. Personally, we won't have a truck w/o 4WD but that because we like mud and woods.
  6. We just got a 2013 Chevy 2500HD Crew LT, its a base model work truck, but has the engine power we need to pull safely. We looked for a diesel but it was going to be more than we could afford and the 2500 is my grocery getter. The diesels we found were older but the same price, hubs wanted the diesel but also didn't want me to deal with maintenance on top of him being deployed constantly. I love my truck, I feel safe, I know my kids are safer and it tows safely. I happen to love Chevy/GMC but most heavy duty/HD trucks have a good reputation.
  7. We have been going through this for the past few years, we are on our third of each and we finally got it right! Its really personal and will vary greatly on your family. We have two small kids as well so feel free to chat me up on anything that you may question. Beware of the salesman with both truck and trailer. We were dooped by both which led to some major frustrations. Do your research, google everything!
  8. It'll be awhile before, he just left and I don't plan on waiting until he gets back! If i keep up my current trend I'll be a pro by the time he gets back:) I love this trick! I pulled the trailer in front of our house and practiced for nearly two hours backing up into different "sites". Thank goodness for DVD players to keep the little monsters entertained. They actually wanted to get back in the truck when I was done which is when I decided a trip to the beach was a good idea.
  9. Great idea! I like the idea of the bands but don't like bulk on my wrist. I may try this tomorrow, I guess if jack it up I can just keep it in my pocket.
  10. Todd, we are doing the 29th too! Hoping it won't be so crazy since it is a Tuesday.
  11. I see where you are coming from, I get it. But prices will always go up and compared to other places I feel like I get more bang for your buck at Disney. Disney is about quality the majority of the time and they are still trying to turn a profit. There is always a CM around, they are everywhere! There are so many things that go into Disney that you don't see. Security, you can spot the plain closed people if you know what to look for and they are not cheap. But from what I noticed there are quite a few. I also think they try to make themselves accessible to the majority of the people.
  12. Nope, you reminded me and I added it! You have to drive a vehicle to the beach, its all main roads mostly at 55 mph. 20 minutes tops to the free parking at Cherry Grove which is in the North Myrtle area.
  13. I love my J-41's, alas they are very worn out. I did find a pair at Tuesday Mornings for $19.99
  14. I think it will work great for our family, my husband isn't a beach person and I "grew up" at the beach. Best of both worlds!
  15. We will definitely be going back. It would be a great place for a NC/SC Grand Gathering............
  16. A regular pull through, nothing special. I think third down from the "best" which was lake front
  17. Its to shield them from all the twerking, lord knows they don't need to see any of that:)
  18. Thanks! One of the reasons we bought our house was because of the stars. Now its slowly getting brighter, guess we'll have to move further away. Apparently the Colemans are bits and pieces of a few companies. Thor, Dutchmen, and some others. We like it, it does the job and is simple. Can't wait to finish peeling off the decals, I hate being a billboard.
  19. Love all the signs! That looks like the back end of my truck..
  20. Hows the regulating of tents going? I remember reading about how it may or has been implemented that it is no longer allowed. For our upcoming trip we have our trailer but I was thinking of bringing our tent down so the girls can get a taste of sleeping in a tent. I'm also swinging by and bringing my 80+ grandmother down to visit her sister just outside of Orlando and she "may "want to stay a night at the Fort with us. We could all sleep in the trailer but I need more space than that when dealing with family I didn't choose or birth.
  21. When we went last August I attempted online check in and kept getting an error message. I called and apparently certain request such as "pet loop" cause the system to hiccup. We could never get it right and don't plan to use it this time to have something to compare it to.
  22. If you're looking for a quiet Myrtle Beach getaway believe it or not, there is such a thing! Willowtree Campground is in Longs, SC and it's about 15 minutes from the beach driving. This was our first trip so I decided to go for an easier campground that had good reviews. Willowtree lived up to all the 5 star reviews! Its very clean, people are friendly and its has great amenities. My favorite thing wasn't even listed on the website, the stars were amazing! They were so bright, you could see clusters of stars, it looked like pixie dust in the sky! Just a note, be careful with GPS directi
