  1. As a vegan with a kid who has severe food allergies I am looking forward to our Trails End dinner for Kellens birthday. Im in a Veg disney group and Allergy Disney group and both are all about Chef TJ! This will be our first experiece with him if we are lucky, fingers crossed we get him! Apparently, reservations at 4:30-4:45 increase your likelyhood of TJ having time to prepare his masterpiece for you.
  2. I'm beyond over Frozen but the two little girls in my house are still obsessed. I limit the time they are exposed but they are like little Anna& Elsa zombies
  3. Good ideas! Not too worried about adults sleeping on it, just want it to work for the l ittles so they stay out of my bed. I replaced our queen mattress in the TT with a memory foam actually just threw it on top of the "awesome" one that came with it.
  4. So we have a love seat size jack knife couch that is worthless. Its in a small space as our TT is under 20ft with no slides. Its back is fluffy and the seat is flat so it creates an awkward sleeping surface. Any suggestions for creating a better surface to sleep on without tearing it out?
  5. Agree! I started with a basic machine a few years back and upgraded once I became more confident. Go for the cheaper Singer or Brother brand for now and throw in a gift card to your local craft/sewing so she can get started with her own stash!
  6. Welcome!! Very nice lamp, one day I'll get around to getting mine done.......
  7. How generous of you! I really appreciate the offer and because you are so kind to offer I can swing by and tow it down so that itwouldn't be such an inconvenience. We are only about a hour from Apex :)
  8. Correct End, however I'll be at the Fort and my parents are not military. Technically we could do it but Shades requires the military personnel to be present. Last thing I need is for something to go wrong and to get in trouble with DOD. Last thing I need to tell my hubs about while he's deployed. However, my grandmother who is now living with them and may be in the area during that time visiting her sister while we do Disney, is the widow off a retired vet so they could use her if she wants to visit her sister. That's going to depend on how bad her dementia is at that point,..
  9. I looked into the cabin, its 1800 for one week. A bit steep for them. I've thought about the suite thing but quickly pushed it to the end of the list. I'm wanting to stay longer than them plus the girls and I stayed at CSR last May and we need the space that the campsites provide. After staying at the resort I can't imagine doing it with the kids again.
  10. We are planning a trip for early May and I've convinced my parents to come along for their first visit since taking me 30 years ago. I plan on staying at the Fort in our TT on a premium site. Its a small trailer so they would prefer their own space. What are some of their options, anything you all have tried and can recommend. I'm thinking they could even stay at somewhere outside Disney. I also have thought about renting a larger RV to get us all together but I'm worried about bed quality, I need something that isn't going to feel like I'm sleeping on a brick and so does my dad. Any idea
  11. We did it in May while staying at CSR, 1 adult who was 5 months pregnant, a 4 year old and 2 year old. Enjoyed the convenience but very tired of the food by the end of a 8 day stay
  12. I cheated this past May, missed the Fort after the first few days. It just wasn't the same and won't make that mistake again unless I can get a ressie for the castle.
  13. I have not, but it looks delish! We use Bob's Red Mill Gluten free pizza mix, not too shabby and makes for a quick lunch.
  14. Unfortunately a good chunk of the military is limited to leave during holidays so unless its coming home or going to a deployment your options are limited. And even when you are given leave from/to deployment it is often combined with a holiday so they can hit two birds with one stone.
  15. We have a plethora of allergies in our family and fell in love with Disney this year because of how accommodating they are for food allergies. I have cried watching my daughter eat a dessert at Chef Mickeys because of how normal they made us feel. This is the only kiosk for allergies as of right now. They have allergy friendly treats through out all the parks and resorts. Most of the restaurants can accommodate any allergy issue. If anyone has any questions, feel free to message me and I'd be glad to help. You can also contact Special Diets, [email protected]
  16. We went for the first time this past year, not impressed. We also did the Halloween party and I would consider doing that again, so much better!
  17. I love my cap, its not difficult to remove if you have a two people. We got ours off craigslist for $100 bucks, its black but blends well enough for our silver paint job.
  18. Yeah, not so much....I will only plan a trip when crowd levels are at a 5 or below from now on and I'm sure this event will be INSANE. I'll miss it by a week and glad of it!
