  1. Wow, those look great, I'd like to have a Fort Fiends Snarky sticker but there are none offered in the store! Brian
  2. Heres me and Mr. Smee in 1979, this was the trip we stayed in a cabin at the Fort, sadly, also my last ride on the Fort Wilderness Rail Road. :gaah: Brian
  3. Wow Daverene, you guys will be going right by us on I-75, we should get a convoy going! Yes, now that song is stuck in my head?! Brian
  4. Ah-oh, another Auburn fan! Brian P.S. GO NOLES!
  5. All normal sounds, it's funny, between the axle noises and the Weight Distribution Hitch groaning and popping, you can't miss a travel trailer coming in a campground! We had a small pop up for years and towed it with a mini van so no WDH or anything, so no noise, well the first time we took our new to us Hybrid Travel Trailer out, we felt like everyone in the campground was staring at us and mad that we broke up the silence, we were so careful and slow trying to keep the noise down, now it's all hands on deck as fast as we can to get to relaxing! It's something we all have to deal with and aft
  6. Yes, it does a very good job with shifting the transmission while towing, I love the Armada for towing, so much better than that Chevy! Brian
  7. I have a hybrid as well, last year I needed to replace my tires, so I decided to do what I did with our boat trailer and upgrade to a 15", I found a great deal with tires and rims, I put them on and it looked great. The next month we went to a state park about an hour away, every time I turned it felt like the trailer brakes were grabbing, I figured I would look at it went we got to the camp site, well, while I was backing in I had to almost jackknife to get in the site, a guy that was watching me came over and said, you know when you turn the tires go together, I was like what are you talking
  8. We just got a Nissan Armada 2 months ago, our old tow vehicle was a Chevy Traverse with almost no rear suspension, so we had the WDH chains set at 6 links, tried that on our Armada with the rear level control and it was like the trailer was trying to piggy back the truck, it was bouncing everywhere, so I dropped the chains down 3 links, boom, night and day, that Armada is a beast! Brian
  9. Thanks Rennie, I will keep the peepers peeled! Brian
  10. I'm down with the rake, I may have to try that one, such a time saver! :rofl2: We use stainless steel ones from Camping World, they are about 3' long and clean so much easier, we had wood dowels once, but the sticky wouldn't come off so I had to cut the end and resharpen, have fun! Brian
  11. Welcome Woody, you lucky ducks, we don't get to camp there till July 4th week, we are going over next month, but it's only for 2 days so we're staying at the Art of Animation resort, we may have some time to stop by The Fort and walk around a little! Brian
  12. Welcome JD, glad you guys had fun at the Fort , thanks for taking time to post pictures! Brian
  13. Wow, I wish I would have known you were there TCD, we checked out Friday the 13th from site 123, we were there till 1 and then checked out and parked in the overfilled overflow lot and went swimming till 2, I wish we could have met! I need to figure this pic posting thing out and get to work on our TR! Brian
  14. Glad I could be of assistance on the changing of the rings, I'm going for the GOLD! :clint: P.S. I saw the lightbike people cruizin around behind the bike barn while we were watching Princess and the frog movie last Thursday night, I think they got more attention than the movie! Too cool!! Brian
  15. Ding Ding Ding, attention all Fiends, I am now a Jr. Fiend with a BLUE ring, no more Newbie!! :jumpforjoy Brian
  16. Saw it in person last week, truly amazing! Thank you Dave for all your hard work, oh and my kids say thank you for the glow necklaces! Brian
  17. From one Newbie to another, WELCOME!!! We just got home from the Fort, we stayed in the 100 loop which is preferred and had a blast, my family had so much fun their first time there because of the insight of this forum, we wouldn't have done half of the stuff we did if not for the great people of this band of merry fiends! Brian
  18. Have a safe trip, the weather is great here right now, good luck with the new camper! Brian
  19. I used the provided fax request form, put down 100 loop and my top three sites and got number 2 on my list, which turned out to be better than the first in person, it worked like a charm, thank you Fiends for the help! Brian
  20. Glad you made it safely, and a free upgrade is a bonus! We will hit the 1000 loop after we check in on Sunday and try to FIND THE FIEND! I wonder if I can use that old " my hybrid trailer won't fit" thing to get a free upgrade! Brian
  21. Wow, talk about removing cobwebbs from the old memory bank, I had the Monorail and Contemporary when I was a kid, till I went to college and my brother destroyed them, MAN, that still erks me, good thing I wasn't reminded of this before Thanksgiving!
  22. I can't wait to see the decorations, this is my family's first time at the Fort so we are bringing some of our stuff with us, no where near what we have at the house, I'm a bit of a Clark W. Griswold III when it comes to the decor, if it were up to me someone would be following us with a trailer full of stuff to put up but DW says we are here for fun not work! :gaah: Oh well, at least I can take some pics of others hard work! Brian
