Beckers 1,136
Cobb salad is the only thing that sounds good to me. Not sure what Cobb dressing taste like? I'm a Ranch kinda girl

DramaMama .......... Janet 75
We have been once and DH and I both had the cobb salad and grapefruit cake because of all the reviews we had read. When the salad was served, the waiter asked if we wanted it mixed. We said "sure" thinking, why not? The salad was really tasty - for the first 20 bites. The problem with getting it mixed is that every single bite tastes all the same. Though good, we tired of it quickly. It would have been much better not mixed.
Beckers 1,136
How's the grapefruit cake? My parents made ADR's for Oct just because they wanted to try the grapefruit cake. I'm wondering if my mom looked at the menu at all.
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
We've never had a desire to eat there. Menu and prices aren't appealing.
Beckers 1,136
Mo I'm so glad you posted this. Once i saw the menu and prices I asked my mom if she had looked at either and she hadn't. Today she will be canceling their reservations lol.
Beckers 1,136
Would they have an issue if my parents kept their ADR and just ordered coffee and dessert?
alexwyattmommy 181
They can't tell you what to order or how much to spend, yet.
DramaMama .......... Janet 75
How's the grapefruit cake?I remember it being OK but not as good as hyped. I don't mind occasionally paying the big prices for amazing food or memorable character experiences for my kids. This was neither. We like that we can check Brown Derby off the Disney restaurant to-do list but feel no need to go back.I have heard some people say they like the atmosphere in there because it is like they aren't even in a theme park. Hmmm.... personally I relish every moment in Disney theme parks!
DaveInTN 3,247
I have no interest in eating at the Brown Derby unless Lucille Ball and Bill Holden are there.
Beckers 1,136
I googled the recipe for my mom. She decided she is going to make it at home instead. Andddd going to Hoop Dee Doo instead of Brown Derby! Already made their reservations for Oct.

This one just looks too froo foo to me.

This one just looks too froo foo to me. I vote for a greasy burger too. And not that I am a food snob but breakfast food and dinner food on the same plate just don't look appetizing to me. Yes that is right fried chicken and waffles get a big NO from me too.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
DH isn't picky about where his burger + egg comes from, as long as it's a decent burger. In a pinch he's been known to go the DIY route at Cracker Barrel and order a burger and a single fried egg on the side. Of course when we're camping, he's been known to throw an egg on just about anything for breakfast... including leftover pizza from Trails End.
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
I don't like fried eggs, so this all sounds like :barf: to me. When I was a child I ate fried eggs smothered in ketchup. Only because my father loved them, and I'd do anything to emulate him.
Beckers 1,136
I like my eggs over easy.
DaveInTN 3,247
I like my eggs over easy. I like mine over medium.
Beckers 1,136
I like mine over medium. I like to soak up the yolk. Makes poor Brian gag
DaveInTN 3,247
I like to soak up the yolk. Makes poor Brian gag Me too! Over medium gives me a runny yolk but firm white. I hate squiggly whites.
Beckers 1,136
I want the whites cooked too, but if you order them over medium, the yolks always end up cooked. uncooked whites look like, well, nevermind.
