Look at those paper FP's! And the Spicy Chicken on the Waffle sandwich (it wasn't very spicy, was it?) That whole update is a thing of beauty. TCD Thanks TCD. It was spicy but not extremely so. The last two updates were stellar! :bravo: The Tomorrowland Speedway is a crowd fave in our family. Absolutely love the cheshire cat grin on your DS's face. Way to score those paper FP's. AC in A2......Aaron 693 Posted March 17, 2014 Author Report Share Posted March 17, 2014 12-13-13 (continued) We left off on our way to non-carpeted Dumbo and here we are. I really think they did a good job with this new version of the ride. The ride itself is obviously the same but the colors, pictures, water features, etc look pretty cool.....especially at night. The kids really like this ride and that's all that matters. This was a FP+ so no waiting: Now its time to ride Magic Kingdom Nemo. It's amzing how quick you get to DIT's favorite ride from Dumbo now that the walls are down: After the MerNemo ride, we went to look for shrooms in the Hundred Acre wood. If you recall, we had paper FPs for both so no waiting once again. I don't know how I am going to handle having to wait in line for these type of rides now that there is no paper FPs. They were selling admission for a special hard ticket event, called "Pooh Pooh Kachoo.....Enjoy an Ecstasy Rave with me and Roo!" We passed on the afterhours event, but did partake in the "normal" "trip" through the wood: Now for the dodge the clear plastic baggy portion of the ride: After that ride, it was time to make a run back to the Fort. We swam a bit during the afternoon and then had puled pork sandwiches at the PUP: After dinner we went to the Settlement where the kids hung out at the playground and DW and I enjoyed a couple drinks on the playground side of the Crockett's porch. In the next update, we will have our second celebrity appearance of this trip report.....Oops, third if you count Dick Cheney at Epcot. Who was the second you ask? We've never done Merida because the wait is usually looooooooooong, but that looks cool. I might need to prioritize that next trip. Here we are on the porch: While we were sitting there, I received a text from one of my celebrity friends...I told him we were on the porch at Crocketts. He said he would be right there, so I grabbed a rocker from the other side of the porch and saved it......that may be frowned upon by some, but I don't care. A few more pics before the honored guest arrived: Fairly quickly we were visited by a familiar face, it was FortFiends.net's very own TCD! We enjoyed a drink on the porch and had a nice conversation. I was happy to finally meet TCD and hopefully that was just the first of many future Fort meetings. TCD had evening plans with the twins so we made plans for a morning coffee and golf cart ride and parted ways. Then DW said we didn't even get a picture for the trip report to prove the celebrity sighting, so we walked back down the porch to TCD's golf cart and....................... After a bit more time spent on the porch, we headed to the meadows: We always buy a Christmas ornament on each vacation so here is the new one for this trip: We also bought some ice cream and enjoyed it on the back porch: The Meadows TP represents: Tomorrow would be our last full day and would be spent Fortin' around at the Fort and MK. The next day would be an early wake up and an insanely long drive home, but for now it was time for bed. One more full day to enjoy and then this trip will be over. The kids seem to enjoy the Merida meet and greet. You have to take him on the speedway at least once.....i enjoy the sights along the ride even if the speed leaves a lot to be desired. Yum indeed! We went on a Fort golf cart tour and had some good conversation. The only picture I have from this tour is this: That same wagon has appeared again in TCD's current TR. {AC in A2 Diatribe} Hey Fort/WDW managers. Canvas is not that hard to fix or replace. You have $$. Fix it. {End AC in A2 Diatribe} I can keep on ripping off Troll's TR tactic because he is MIA. Hopefully all is okay with the Troll. Anyway, after our tour, TCD and I met with my DD and DS and TCD hooked them up with a bunch of SOTMK cards they needed. Thanks for that TCD. Very kind of you. DW commented this morning how nice you were too, while she was reading the update with your pic. After TCD took off to meet up with the TCD twins, we made our way to the marina for a MK morning. DS had plans to do something while waiting for a boat: The old man won. That gives me TCD tetherball victory bragging rights I believe? Time to catch a boat: We have arrived: DS was feeling brave and said he wanted to try Splash Mountain with the family, so we headed there first: DS was scared but bravely took one for the team. I don't think he is dying to get back on the ride anytime soon though. He was not a fan of the hill. DD on the other hand was screaming to go on again. More MK in the next update.
