BigTom 76
Just curious ... why did you pop out both ends of the PUP for just the two of you? Also the bunk ends also help stabilize the top, making the pop up more stable in the wind Katman1356...Jason

There is a definite shimmy in the legs for the roof until the bunk end tents are stretched and attached.

h2odivers...Ray 952
The problem is that knucklehead Ray and his double ghost post.Wait one minute there schmuckface. First of all it's always your fault. Second, don't try to blame your slacking off on KFK's ghost. Third, this has got to be the first time the author of a TR has moved so fast on page one. When Jason does a TR he does a TR. Jason please slow down. I need to catch my breath. Great sunrise pictures.
Katman1356...Jason 1,140
April 18 ContGettysburg Visitor Center We didnt really have the extra money to do the full movie and museum tour but they do have some exhibits outside the museum one of which was awesome for a couple of band geeks like us. And some uniforms on display. After that we headed out on the Auto Tour. You pop in a narrated cd and follow the signs around town. I don't remember which pictures are from which stop and we only made it thought 8 of the 15 stops. There are lots of monuments and markers to the different regiments and units involved in the battle. Although it is definitely skewed more towards the North for obvious reasons.

momof3kids-Yvonne 595
I'm in too. I can't believe none of the other Fiends video taped your arrival and set up. What sort of blackmail do you have on them?
Katman1356...Jason 1,140
April 18 Auto Tour cont. There is an option to do a horseback tour of the battlefields as well as a segway tour. The view from Little Round Top looking across several points of battle. Shortly after this we stopped to grab lunch at KFC and ended up running into Becker's parents also eating lunch there on a tour break. After we ate we headed back but only hit a couple of quick things before heading back to the campground. This monument is dedicated primarily to soldiers from PA who lost their lives. You can climb up one of the 4 corner posts to see the surrounding area. It's a tight stairway and really only allows for one person at a time in either direction and is not well lit or hand railed so be careful. Wait who is that in the distance...It's Becker's parents. LOL Here is the full monument. Some shots from around the outside. We will continue from the top in a moment. I hate heights by the way so I did those to get shots for all of you. Your welcome! I took the ones of the PA monument I'm in too. I can't believe none of the other Fiends video taped your arrival and set up. What sort of blackmail do you have on them? There may have been some drinking involved that kept them from thinking of that. Apparently evaporation was bad at the campground that weekend.

GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
OK, and I can comment now! I was going to tease you for never finishing your reports, but it looks like you're taking care of that. Yum, milkshakes! Visiting Gettysburg is so powerful. I even thought so as a teen. Katman1356...Jason 1,140
April 18 Auto Tour Cont. Pics from on top of the PA monument. You can see where we were on Little Round Top in this one. On top of the monument they had several markers telling you which direction and how far to the other stopping points/battle areas on the tour. With that we decided to call it a day. We will have to get back sometime and finish up the tour but for now I needed to get back to make up some burgers for dinner.

Yeah I didnt want to be heckled for yet another incomplete one so It is onward to the end. Gettysburg really is powerful. They have preserved so many fields that were probably not that different back then that you can almost picture the armies coming over a hill. I highly recommend a visit to anyone who is interested in US history.
Katman1356...Jason 1,140
April 19th Apparently we dont have any more pics from the 18th. I was very happy though because my burgers were safe for Bill's daughter to eat. Score 1 for me. I felt so bad I couldnt feed her something last year. She apparently liked it too because the next day she came up to me and let me know it was the best burger she had ever had. I was glad she could enjoy one with everybody else. April 19th was the major pot luck day. I basically spent it cooking. While I was working on making my dishes Sil managed to grab some really great pictures of the kids I believe making Tie-Dye shirts at this point. And some pictures of Fiends doing what we do best. Running their mouths. Hey look there I am cooking now! Take note of the Monty Python Holy Grail pajama pants. You all know you want some Look it's Beckers! To Be Cont. Katman1356...Jason 1,140
April 19 cont. One of our newer Fiends who joined us and his wife were going to take some pictures. Seems she had bought a dress but didnt have many places to wear it. Some more campground pics. Fiend Row The Axe tree. If Larry had a problem with clotheslines who do you think he would handle this. Look Green leaves starting!

Katman1356...Jason 1,140
April 19 Cont. again Another example of a Fiend marrying up. Rennie's wife. And look a shot of Rennie. We forgot our sign again but those that remember had them out. Big Kahuna John making his Lasagna. The T-shirt clean up and pack a way. Adam was starting to get a certain look on his face. He needed him some Jedi time. Jedi is a very well behaved dog that does extremely well with little kids so we let Adam walk him. If Jedi did get loose he has an automatic response that makes him come straight to me so we werent too worried. Look the littlest Fiend even came out to see Jedi! We will pick up with Egg Coloring pics.

Katman1356...Jason 1,140
April 19th Egg coloring time. Bill's daughter came looking for me so I could try and help her get her kite flying. The wind was better today. I was waiting for water to boil anyway so I had a few minutes to help her out. Bill was helping his boys try to get their kites flying. Whip's daughter made a sign for everyone. I will continue in the next post with the Pood Forn you are all waiting for. Katman1356...Jason 1,140
April 19th Dinner time! Chili Trail's End Cornbread Buffalo Turds Grandma's Potato Salad A reasonably healthy dish I didnt eat. Macaroni salad of some kind with veggies. Bill Deep Frying the Turkey Empties from the weekend...there would be more. I think this was Snarky Juice. Cupcake cheesecakes Jerry's Butt Ambrosia Salad Regular Salad Another? Salad Better shot of the macaroni salad. The turkey resting John's Lasagna No occifer we dont have a drinking problem. Mashed Potatos Torpedo Meat This was another hit with Bill's daughter. Not only was the Torpedo Meat safe for her but the rolls I bought were as well. She made something like 6 trips for the stuff. There was a little left over and I made sure Bill and them took it for her. Some of the rolls for the torpedo meat I had cut in half and split down the middle. And one of the FIends made home made Hamburger rolls. They were yummy. And that is all the pictures we had. After cleaning up Sil and I actually packed almost everything up. We were leaving at 5:30 in the morning to get home for Easter with family. We had a great weekend and a Phenomenal time with everybody. Anyone considering joining us for Easter would be more than welcome and I think would have a great time. The End. I did it I finished a trip report. Yeay me!
