John Oliver's Anti-Pumpkin Flavored Food Rant

Recommended Posts

For me, pumpkin spice lattes taste like feet smell. So....ew.

I'm one of those people who very rarely will throw something away.  I wasn't raised to waste food OR money, so if I buy something I eat/drink it, even if it isn't what I was hoping for.  But that pumpkin spice latte?  It went down the drain.  Disgusting.  I've not often tasted something that bad, and I've eaten some pretty horrible things.

Pumpkin spice haters unite. Out with the old and in with the new.... thing - Chestnut Praline.

Mmmmm chestnut....mmmm praline.....and starbucks is just one building over...but damn, those things don't come out until November, right? Until then we will be tortured by pumpkin.

And the million dollar question is: do you say Praw-leen or pray-leen?

Took this pic today. All "pumpkin" flavored

Pop tarts, oatmeal, coffee, Oreos, Hershey kisses, no bake cheese cake and muffins. I think that covers all of it.

I may be the only person who finds every bit of that tempting.  I love pumpkin.  ESPECIALLY pumpkin pie!

b.good is on the pumpkin flavor bandwagon with their pumpkin shakes, but the big difference is that they're only served on Halloween weekend, and they're using actual pumpkin!!

The big difference is that they are using REAL, roasted pumpkin in those shakes....not some crappy pumpkin flavored powder made from cassein, high fructose corn syrup and artificial flavor and colorings from China.

I don't mind pumpkin flavored whatever, IF

It's something you can realistically expect to 'work' with a pumpkin flavor;

It's NOT overloaded with pumpkin pie spice flavor so much you don't actually taste pumpkin;

It's made with REAL pumpkin;
