GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
I heard on the Disney by the Numbers page on facebook that they're going to add 1,000 seats to Fantasmic. They linked a Disney site, but I didn't see an article, so not sure if it's true.

BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Hopefully that will cut down on the insane line that runs almost all the way down the street an hour+ before show time. (and that was on a slow day!)
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Thanks for the link, Jason. That Blog has been shifted into overdrive lately!I love the comments section where guests ask valid questions and are routinely ignored.Hopefully that will cut down on the insane line that runs almost all the way down the street an hour+ before show time. (and that was on a slow day!)I'm not sure how it will cut down on the line- won't it make the line worse? A thousand more seats=a thousand more people trying to get in.TCD
mikmouse 3
We never wait on line anymore. We go at the last minute and walk right in. Even if we didn't get a seat we didn't mind because at least we didn't have to wait for an hour on bleachers, without backs. We can't handle those seats any longer. Since we've seen the show so often, and we still enjoy it, we take our chances. But so far, we've always gotten in without waiting on line.

This has been our experience too- there are always seats left.Maybe during holidays they will need those extra thousand seats, but otherwise, it's weird that they are adding that many seats when they seldom (if ever?) have to turn guests away. I wonder if maybe adding these seats will lead to them only having one show year round, instead of adding a second show during busy times?Or maybe, jut maybe, some kind of improvement of the show is coming along, and they anticipate bigger crowds? Maybe those color changing mouse ears like they have in Disneyland?TCD

Tigger 33
Maybe they can add it to the new Fastpass and you will have to book the show 6 months out.
we3peas 12
They are not adding more room for more people to see it, they are putting in benches where people were standing to see the show. This won't change the lines at all.
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
The one and only time we tried to see Fantasmic! was during our March/April trip this year. We got in line 45 minutes before show start and were told by the CMs doing crowd control that there was no way we would get in. So we left.
DaveInTN 3,247
While everyone is sitting through that train wreck of a show, I'll be at the bar at 50's PTC enjoying a PB&J milkshake.

Southern Blessings 4
I've never wanted to stand in line for an hour to see it, but I would like to at least once.
Lou... 3,118
Even though Dave calls it a train wreck, IMO, it's worth seeing at least once. I like it, but I wouldn't stand in line or wait too long in order to see it.The fact that so many people do wait in line or get there early to get a seat should say something about the show. Ok, him sleeping had nothing to do with the quality of the show, although I still have a hard time believing he didn't wake up during it.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
We're doing the dinner package this year with our in-laws so that we can all see it without waiting in that ridiculous line.

My perfect evening after a day at DHS would be to leave the park, head back to the Fort, and watch the EWP on the beach.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Throw in a GAG for a picnic on said beach and swing by the campsite to pick up some beverages along the way and that I'd say that's pretty much the PERFECT evening!
