BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023 Posted May 4, 2013 Report Share Posted May 4, 2013 As a sign that something is being done at DTD the Downtown Disney Entertainment offices and green room located underneath Pleasure Island will be relocating due to the start of construction for Disney Springs. That's what it's called, but it's not a room. It's more like a coral with no walls or roof, They have to wait there sometimes for as long as an hour even if it's raining or cold. Crews began installing construction walls in the area around the West End Plaza on Pleasure Island. The construction wall will stretch around the West End Plaza area on Pleasure Island, from the top of Bridge 4 to Laffers Cantina and the DJ booth. Backstage, the walled area includes the Pleasure Island service yard and surrounding pathways. The last day of operation for the Laffers Cantina bar at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island was last Sunday. A temporary bar will open at the Lily Pad near Fulton's Crab House that will offer beer, wine and other alcoholic beverages. The nightly entertainment acts at the West End Plaza on Pleasure Island will move to new locations. Living Statues will move to Keith's Park area near Pollo Campero Green and Purple stages will move to Park Stage in the lawn near Bongos Cuban Café and to the Lily Pad area near Fulton's Crab House. It's also expected that as this occurs, more temporary entertainment and food/drink locations will appear. Here's the first round...
