  1. Do the comfort stations in the tent loops have disabled accessible showers? What about "Family bathrooms" with disabled accessible shower? That would be preferable, as an adult of the opposite sex could be in there to help. Thanks in advance.
  2. I would love the information as well. Thanks in advance!
  3. I'll be packing down a bunch when we go in February. This is truly a sad state of affairs. What parent would not notice their child taking a hula hoop? They cannot exactly fit in one's pocket. And breaking them? It takes blatant abuse to break a hula hoop. And the one thrown in a tree looks like an adult did it. It's just too high for a kid to have thrown. Absolutely pathetic that any adult would do such a thing. I hate to think it may have been a parent with a child watching. What a way to teach disrespect for property.
  4. It's almost got to be deliberate. There is no way they can not afford top notch tech to run their website. Every single time a page messes up, the number to call them pops up. We just activated our AP's last week, that we had purchased about six months ago. I thought we missed out on the extra month, but when we activated them, the extra month was added. Happy surprise.
  5. I had the same exact problem! They finally got that fixed, now won't let me change a reservation. I've been trying for a couple of days now, doesn't look like it's going to happen. It's not a huge deal or I would call and do it, but I hate calling.
  6. Is it just me? Should I try using a different browser? I use Chrome. I have always had problems with it and nothing has changed in the last few years. Just got back from our maiden return trip and have another booked in February. Just get so tired to trying to do anything on their site. Surely they can afford better.
  7. Thanks for sharing! This made a bad night much better for me. So glad I decided to come over to the forum. I love, love, love it! And, like the others, I enjoy seeing the pop-up, since that is what I own.
  8. It's the alligator pee. That's why most of us have wells.
  9. I know, right! LOL We have stayed at Pop many times. I have no idea what he was thinking. He must have had camping on his mind, is all I can figure. I told him to think about what he just asked me for a minute, and he laughed as well. I do have a disabled adult son, who may get confused and ask something like that, but from the other son, it caught me off guard. He doesn't go on most of our trips anymore, and his involvement in planning includes throwing his clothes in a bag five minutes before we leave. He must have thought we were camping, but said "room." It may be one of those "
  10. We were talking about our trip in December, where we will be staying at Pop. This kid has been raised going to DW regularly, even when we lived 1,000 miles away. I can't even count how many times he's been there. I realized that being a life-long camper must be more firmly embedded in him when he asked me this the other day. My 23 year old son (not disabled,) asked me, with a straight face, "Do we have a room with electric and water all?" Since even Fort Wilderness doesn't have primitive sites, I have no idea where that came from .... But it made me laugh.
  11. I wish they would do this at Pop Century. I'm sure it won't be as cheap as Little Caesars, but still nice to grab on the way back to the room. Guess we will have to bring the toaster oven in December, and stock some pizzas in our fridge.
  12. After I realized this wasn't a joke, when I saw it on facebook, that was my first thought. For that kind of money, they need to be climate controlled 100%, not even just a fan. For me it would pay for 14 nights at the fort. And since we already have annual passes, that's a no-brainer as far as where to spend the money. Disney beat you to it. They come with a complimentary Mickey Bar for each of the 8 people allowed in them. And yes, only 8 people can use, regardless of the size of your party. I could not dream of affording anything like this. Even if I could afford it, I
  13. What. The. Heck?! Having missed out on all past discussions on this, I am completely shocked. Do they show up in a semi, or what? That is at least 5 full sized appliances at a campsite! I'm assuming, from the other comments, that they let the dishwashers drain onto the ground? I just have so many questions .... How many sites do they have? How many people? Paper plates, anyone? I am so curious at who ever thought to do such a thing to begin with. I can understand a fridge. A full sized one, maybe. But DISHWASHERS? OMG Even more shock. Are
  14. I don't even like waffles and I may buy one for that price. I can make them for my grandchildren. Several of them are hardcore Mickey addicts.
  15. Thanks, yeah, I knew it was not against the rules to tour other resorts. I was just kind of joking around. We have toured many resorts, over the years, that we are not staying at. The boat is a good idea. Thanks for that suggestion! I would have never thought of that. You are absolutely correct about getting different answers from every CM. I think that's standard Disney tradition in all parks and resorts. I'm just going to go ahead and do it.
  16. This would be my #1 choice of a retirement home. How awesome!
  17. Not that she would be a self - extender, as I'm sure she is fully reserved. But, isn't there a woman who lives at the Fort full time?
  18. You know, it never even occurred to me to sneak in via internal transportation. That is a pretty good idea. The only problem would be the extra walking and that we have an ECV. Disney usually keeps us all pretty darn walked-out. I know we could still use the ECV on the buses, but would be quite a few loading and unloading events. It would be so much easier if they would let us drive through. I have gotten fantastic site information here, that I feel I am prepared with my request, even if they deny us the drive-through. I will call and ask though. I'm not even sure why I made our first
  19. Thank you all so much! You guys are the best! These site numbers with descriptions are exactly what I was looking for. I don't take your help for granted. I appreciate the time and thought you have taken to give me answers. I will absolutely let Disney know of our needs. We want to go over and look around in December, but wasn't sure if they would let us in.
  20. I live in Lake City and we have some very nice state parks just a few miles off 75. Stephen Foster (not to be confused with the one in GA) is usually easy to get reservations at and has quite a few nice, big pull through sites so you don't have to unhook. It's 3 miles off 75. O'leno State Park is a bit more difficult to get reservations. Once again, just off 75. They don't have any pull through sites, and the Dogwood Loop is a bit tight. Magnolia Loop is much bigger for larger RVs and level. Paynes Prairie is in Gainesville, also just a few miles off 75. I've only camped there once
  21. I totally agree they should be banned from the Fort for this behavior. I'm completely shocked by this entire thread. It's hard to imagine people with this much nerve.
  22. Thanks! He has always loved camping and loved Disney. We started camping again early this year, and he has done really well. He enjoys the peaceful settings of camping and fishing. At our state parks, I'm very familiar with the loops, so know what sites to reserve. Thanks very much! I'm going to watch this right now!
  23. Hello, for our February trip, we will be camping at the Fort. We have not been to Disney in nearly four years, since one of our adult sons was critically injured. December is our first "trial" trip back, but we are staying at POP to see how things go with him. We will be camping in our New-to-us Pop Up camper and have reserved a partial site. That means we will be in look 1500 or 2000. We need a site that is close to, preferably in view of, a comfort station. Although our son is back to looking normal, he has a suffered a severe TBI (traumatic brain injury) and will never been fully fun
  24. Got it! I am hear-by wiping my brain clean of any of the silliness I have read over there. Don't plan on going back for more. I'm home here. Thanks for clearing that trailer info up for me. I felt so horrible for the woman it was told to. She never came back, so hopefully she called Disney and got the truth.
