  1. I was kind of wondering this myself. For our reservations in February, I tried to add an extra night and there is no availability. Reading this, I was thinking, "well, apparently, we can just not leave." Of course we will, because I would never have enough nerve to do such a thing. It does make you wonder, though.
  2. I read it on Voldemort before I realized I was on the wrong forum. Returning after a few years' absence I did a Google search and ended up there. Someone had mentioned that they had a partial site reserved and had a travel trailer. A long time member told them that they would not let them camp there, despite existing reservations, and would make them upgrade when they arrived. The person was very upset and I had a hard time picturing Disney doing that, but he is one of the so-called experts there, so I believed it.
  3. I read that they just cracked down on that within the past few months. But, if a person listed their equipment on their reservation, then I would think they would have to honor that. Either that or a free upgrade.
  4. Not Fort related, but back in 2002 we decided we wanted to extend our stay at Port Orleans. When I went to the desk to ask about it, the girl let it slip that there was a family that was supposed to move into our room the next day as it was an adjoining room with other family. The cast member then got embarrassed and try to take it back, but, of course I already knew we would be messing up someone's vacation. She booked us for the extra nights but wouldn't let us move rooms. I literally begged to be let to move to another room. It just wasn't a big deal at all for us. A supervisor got
  5. How do you know what loop you will be in already? Or did you just send in a request? Also, I thought hard sided trailers were no longer allowed on tent loops? I love vintage trailers!
  6. Personally, I wouldn't do business with either of these people. I hate a thief and a liar. I also hate the way Cinderella was treated. Even if it was contracted originally through the company, how dare they call and interrogate her and then get snotty and refuse to tell her what was going on. Way to stress out someone's vacation.... Cinderella, wishing you the best and so sorry you had to deal with this stupid BS. I hope you and your family have an amazing time despite it.
  7. North central FL they've been out about 2 weeks but not thick.
  8. I love her camper too! I have been stalking your site ever since she posted it. There are so many cool things I want, I'm trying to narrow it down. So far, a big sea turtle and some dragonflies are for sure! :parrot:
  9. Oh, she is so cute! I just want to pick her up and hug her! Praise the Lord for bringing this sweet little girl to you.
  10. I'm not that tool savvy. I seriously worked on it for 3 or 4 days trying to enlarge the hole and only ended up enlarging my frustration. All I know is I screwed it up and it cost me money to buy a new one. BUT, now I have the right tools and make more any time.
  11. Just to save you from making the same mistake I did ... buy the correct size hole saw first thing. I had a smaller one that I already owned and tried to cheap out. I thought I could shave/sand the extra 1/2". It was impossible, at least for me. So, I bought the correct size hole saw and then realized it was too late. With nothing to grab onto, the saw did not work on the holes I had already made. I ended up cracking a big chuck from the big globe and had to buy a new one. Thankfully, they are stocked locally here.
  12. Incredible, amazing, super creative ..... I LOVE it!!! I'm really jealous. I'm currently trying to personalize the exterior of my camper and so far I have thought of absolutely nothing original. I planned on adding a decal to a plain tire cover, but would never attempt to cut my own. It's great to see how Musket Mickey looks good with the bright colors. That has been a hold up for me worrying about clashing. Thanks for the inspiration.
  13. I think the style of your tent is better for families with young children. Mom and Dad can be in the middle and be equally close to all the little ones. It would also be easier to heat/cool from the center point with one of those ACs that don't need venting or a portable heater. Hopefully, once you camp it in, you will enjoy the benefits and not have buyers remorse. All of these huge tents are just are really cool. I don't know where you guys find this stuff.
  14. Very impressive!! What's that about a heat pump unit? Is there climate control? People are going to be taking pics of this wherever you go. It's unbelievable. Throw in a porta potty and I would be perfectly happy living in that thing.
  15. don't forget the pepperoni roll - pepperoni baked inside yeast rolls. Although eating by the stick is also acceptable.
  16. I agree and it's a matter of principle, not soda. What exactly is a "ketchup grazer?" :rofl2: I seriously cannot imagine anyone who can afford to be at Disney being desperate enough to bring a big gulp cup or try to use last year's generic mug ... but then again, people never cease to amaze me with their greediness. Forever mugs were sold in some resorts through early 2002. I don't even drink soda anymore and have never used my forever mugs other than the original visits. They do all look brand new as they are packed away in a bin and never used at home. I would likely never have re-used a
  17. Awesome. Just wanted to make sure. I was completely unaware before reading that thread and I've owned many RVs. Enjoy!
  18. Absolutely beautiful!! That's a dream come true for a family with lots of kids. I'm sure you won't regret going big. Before you load that thing up with precious cargo x6 or 7, be sure to read this thread and get one of those surge protectors to keep them all safe.
  19. Three of them are butts!! Butts with ears coming out of them?!?! Another vote for Dumbo as the best. It's the only one I would want.
  20. Dang!! I was going to brag about what a great packer I am but I can't beat this one ... :rofl2:
  21. I LOVE this thread! :rofl2: Keep 'em coming! This is why I could never have a job dealing with the public. I especially could not drive a bus at Disney. I'd end up on the news...
  22. Since that is the case, knowing that tents can't be staked on pavement, they are clearly giving the okay for this. Perhaps they feel that tents and people walking don't do the damage that tires on a vehicle do. Damn show-offs livin' large in their tents. :argh: I couldn't agree more!! This is Disney World, a family place. If all you want to see is expensive Class A's there are plenty of places in FL that cater to that. I don't know what the rules are concerning tents as I have never camped in one at FW. As long as they allow them, people need to set them up somewhere.
