The smell is referred to OHANNAA! and you can bring it home by eating lots of beans. -
Weight questions

My favorite and first car was a 78 VW Rabbit diesel. Got beyond great as mileage but did get anywhere fast. All my friends used to laugh at hw long it took me to get anywhere, but they were jealous when I left the fuel pumps and still had beer money in my pocket. -
Mrtyle Beach, SC over Christmas
wak648...Bill replied to wak648...Bill's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Snow is not the issue, we are in northeast pa, where the temps that time of year are in the low 30's for the high. Just looking for a one day drive able distance for us to spend a few days. -
With Christmas being on a Wednesday this year, our local schools will have a 2 1/2 week break. While Disney is not in the cards this year, we are thinking of head at least a little south between Christmas and New Year. What is the weather like that time of year in the area and what is still open for things to do since it is not tourist season?

New camp flag and flagpole
wak648...Bill replied to Tankpilot's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Great idea! I have my flag holders screwed to a piece of 2x4 and ratchet strap it to a tree. Unfortunately when we don't have a tree for us to us, I have to forgo putting my flags up. I love the idea of using the foot of the trailer tongue to brace to holder. -
What don't you know? If Lars was here, he would tell you that, if something's gooseneck horse is pulling a lots of weights for prolonged periods of times you need, to use the xfactor formula that describes the proper torCk and lube ratio needed. Do yes you need to lube you gooseneck horse's balls. IMHO of course.

I know a long time ago I asked the same question and have my personal preference on the topic of lubing the trailer hitch. But I figured with the newer members to reask the question to see some more opinions on the topic. I occasionally spray some WD40 on the jaw/moving parts of my trailer toungue. Had it goop up on me once and made it difficult to get it to close and secure on the ball of the hitch. I found that spraying it has prevented anymore issues.

need some answers please.
wak648...Bill replied to flaboy1968's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
So would it be wrong if they showed up earlier, parked in the overflow lot, got on the golf cart or bikes, went to check it the site and proceeded to start to pack up the people that were in the site already? -
Purex
wak648...Bill replied to Retired and Happy (Ken)'s topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
That is why I swim in the pool in my clothes. The chlorine takes care of cleaning them and I get a bath at the same time. No need to spend extra on those detergent thingies. -
Why would you use the drinking hose for cleaning? Is that why it always tastes funny?
-
No he camped to close to Dave once.

Absolutely nothing! We were well behaved and sat quietly around the fire. -

Who was the parent (it wasn't me BTW) who politely informed the kids that there are plenty of bones scattered around the battle fields and they wouldn't notice a few more? That also might have something to do with how well behaved they were.
-
I found it funny that the kids where yelling at the adults to keep quiet cause we were interrupting the movies.

Is it to late for the MPR to be placed in effect?

What is it with portraying me in such a negative light in this trip report? First I get accused of assaulting Mr. Whip with a beer bottle when all I was doing was defending myself. Now you make me look like a ruffian because my kid was hording the cookies and trying to strong arm me to give me one. When all I did was ask him politely how he planned on getting home from the campground. I am a good boy...... most of the time.

I got the pics: Beckers Corn bread Johns Lasagna Mrs. DBLR's home made mac and cheese Pam and Starlas Shrimp Chreyls Chilli Jerry's Taco soup My Deep fried turkey And Aarons wife's infamous cookies I am missing a picture of Jason's Potato salad. Let me tell you it was delicious though!

He could have poked my eye out with that overly sharp fork! I at least threw an empty beer bottle that was cushioned by a foam cozzy. He took the first shot and I gave the final salvo. Besides With out pictures, than I am innocent!!

The tour and visitor centers are a must do. It is overwhelming to think about what the soldiers went through during those three days.
