  3. Hello beccaewert ....... I really feel that when talking with Jeff it was more then just 'seem to be heard'! He was sincerely interested in what guests had to say! I am sure that if he was not interested there would have been no reason for him to ask. Like Debbie said and I also believe it to be true, Jeff Martin is a very concerned CM / Guest Manager and he wants what is best for the guests at Fort Wilderness. At the time that Jeff and I spoke he ask me which Loops in the 'Full Hook-Up' area (1600, 1700, 1800 & 1900 Loops) did I think should be Pet Loops. We talk about several diff
  4. Debbie ....... I totally agree with you about Jeff Martin! He sure seems to be a quality person! I have had the pleasure of talking with Jeff several times over the years and he has always been 'very' helpful! I remember during one of my conversations with Jeff he shared with me that he was trying to decide which loops would be best for 'Pet Loops' at the Fort and ask me for my opinion. He was very sincere when he ask me and he sure appeared to be interested in what I shared with him. I remember thinking after our conversation that I was expressed that someone in his position would try
  5. Hello Lou ........ 'Many' years ago (I think 1997) our youngest daughter worked as a CM and was part of the Disney College Program. She stayed at Vista Way and worked as an attraction hostess at the Super Star TV and Monster Sound Stage at MGM now Hollywood Studios. During that time we were fortunate to have her take us to tour both "Disney University" and also the "Team Disney" building across from DTD. Did Disney move 'Disney University' since that time? I thought the location where she completed her orientation training and also other training classes was located in the area past the Di
  6. "Congratulations" Runner ........ Very nice looking truck! I am sure you will love it even more when the price of gas / fuel comes back down! I sure hope it won't be too long before we see it begin to drop!
  7. That is too high for me! I remember many years ago paying $19.99 a night for a site in the 1500 Loop. (Tent/Pop-Up Campsite) We have paid around $100.00 a night for a Premium Site around Easter a few years back but I thought that was too high then and now the price is '$127.13'! "WOW"

  9. Hello Ghester ........... I hope you and your family have a 'Great' time at Fort Wilderness! We are all excited for you and sure wish we could be there as well! Safe Travels!
  10. Being retired the increased cost of the sites and gas does make a difference. The drive to Fort Wilderness from our home in NC is about 650 miles so the total round trip is a little over 1,300 miles and with the price of gas at almost $4.00 a gallon that does add up. I know that we are fortunate to live closer then some of our Fort Fiends but even driving from NC the increase in gas does make a differnce. I remember a few years ago when the price of gas was about this high and we vacationed with my BIL and SIL we pulled their camper and we split the cost and that really helped. Fully load

  13. Hello Ken ........ I really apologize for the very late response to your question! I have not checked out this thread in a long time as you can tell. Many years ago I purchased the biggest tarp I could find and positioned it on top of our Pop-Up and after making sure I had enough overhang all around the camper to protect it from rain and also to provide shade I marked the area for the A/C. After cutting out the hole I re-enforced the cut area with many layers of 'duct' tape! I am one of those people that believe duct tape is a good fix for many things! (I am not sure my wife agrees!) We
