The Art of Animation resort is opening later this month and it's bus stops at the parks are ready to go. Lots of new buses and drivers have been added to handle the load.
Fantasyland stuff is coming online.
The weather is getting hotter, it's getting very exciting.
Summer time is the longest busy stretch at WDW. While it's just a tad less busy than the spring break period, it lasts much longer. Can't wait.

So much for WDWMagic's speculation that this was a road widening project to ease congestion on BVD. As it's close to being completed, it's now apparent what's going on.
The road widening is not really a road widening project, it's mainly a right turn only lane out of DHS that leads onto Victory Way.
The main usage will be during DHS closing. Traffic going to PCR and AOAR, will use the new lane, but it won't have much effect during the rest of the day as BVD is only widened for that short stretch.
I've never found that section to be backed up because of traffic waiting to make a right turn onto Victory Way during the day.
