  1. You will probably need to call the front desk (407-824-2727) and ask to be connected. I doubt that they have a published/public number.
  2. Don't you need the magic words? Meeska. Mooseka. Mousketeer...please let the park times guides appear.. :rofl2: .. ..
  3. It's the "Site number" thread on the Fiends Community Board. Like the title of your thread too. Have fun at the FORT.
  4. We're in Anderson Twp., but we are currently in Panama City
  5. The last word I got was she is still making/booking Disney trips.
  6. Loops 1400, 1000, 900, 800 600 would put you within very easy walking and biking distance to the pool. 600 however does not have a lot of shady spots, many of the recently added sites are in the sun. Request should be faxed 8-10 days prior to your arrival. The fax# for the Fort is:407-824-3508 Date TO: Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground Site Assigner FROM: Name Address Reservation# SUBJECT: Site Request for (dates) We are anxiously looking forward to our visit at Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground and I am writing about campsite requests. We do understand that these are onl
  7. It's been almost 12 years. Do you think DISNEY would make an official announcement about a decision like that anyway? It was not something that happened overnight it was done gradually. On this particular subject I've heard the same answer consistently every time it's been brought up.
  8. I've had the same experience as Brent. Had the ressies linked and we had side by side sites. Also when we returned from the cruise last week we drove around looking for sites before checking back in. 114 & 116 were open so I asked for 116. I was then told that there were two people traveling together and those sites were set aside for them.
  9. Here is another article dated Sept, 2011 and this is only one of many, there were also numerous references on Voldy as well. So when Jeff said the same thing after seeing the decal that I had, it put more credence into the statements/articles floating around. Being Disney fans and of "Fort Wilderness" this symbol was once part of the campground since it's opening, but no more.... While visiting the "Hoop Dee Do revue" years ago, I asked about the removal of "Musket Mickey" from all over the campground.... The "cast member" explained that shortly after the 911 tragedy, disney started to slowly
  10. That's what happened only at DISNEY. After 9/11 it wasn't politically correct.
  11. When Rhonda booked our Oct ressie we took premium since it was cheaper than preferred because of AAA. (20%) There were no AAA on preferred
  12. Contact one of the FIEND Travel Agents, doesn't cost you anything and they usually get you the best deal and discount
  13. To quote our son when he went to flight school in Sanford because of the tourist pricing all around, "I hate that mouse"..
  14. Wonder if that is why the water level was down. When we got back from the Cruise the lake was down, there was a slope in the walkway as you went to the boat.
  15. I think they only carry 1/2 gallons and it was pretty close to what Publix charges. IIRC around $2.95.
  16. Hymans Restaurant in Charleston puts them on the table as soon as you sit down. Those along with the tables that have brass plaques at each seating position, with the names of celebrities, politicos etc, who sat there, have made it very popular.. http://www.hymanseaf...m/celebrity.php
  17. Based on my "personal" experience there should not be any issue with parking at the FORT as long as you are doing a "DISNEY" cruise. The only "hassle" I got was the front desk manager said I had to take him along if I wanted the parking permit. Linda's sister was also allowed to leave her unit there and she left as soon as we got back from the cruise. Jim check your PM's
