  1. As Mo said it's because the rates haven't been annonced yet for 2014. We've got our ressies already, but just like this year they were "HIGH" until about August then they adjust.
  2. If you have a pet you will be in 300, otherwise you have a better chance of getting 100/200. 100/200 have been our preference over the years. Have a great time.
  3. If you happen to get to Wildwood (right at the turnpike) the KOA is under new ownership and greatly improved. when we stayed there in Jan it was only $20. We have also used Jennings Outdoor Camp Resort which just South of the Ga/Fl Border as well as the one Gary mentioned in Ocala.
  4. Excuse me! From the Hebrew name דָּוִד (Dawid), which was probably derived from Hebrew דוד (dwd) meaning "beloved".
  5. Having spent 21 yrs of my career in Public Works i have to come to Disney's defense. There may not have been major problems with the elec when they did the change over in 2009. I was always ask that question about work we were doing when it occured after a major rehab of a street. "Why didn't you do it when-----" well because it wasnt' bad then. It would be nice to be able to predict underground system failures, but it usually doesn't happen. It's just no different than a car. You don't replace the engine just because the transmission needs an overhaul,
  6. "FrIENDS" strike again..... :jumpforjoy :jumpforjoy :jumpforjoy :jumpforjoy
  7. Before we bought the SENECA we had a 2001 JAYCO 32' Designer MH which we enjoyed as well, drove it over 50,000 miles. We now have 40,000 on the SENECA, neither unit gave us any problems. We also know numerous people with Greyhawks (sister-in-law included) and they all seem to be very happy with their purchase. One thing to remember JAYCO gives you a 2 yr warranty so if you have any "bugs" they will get taken care of since they usually manifest themselves early on. One piece of advice. Don't buy too small you may want to trade up too early and that is when you take the biggest loss.
  8. All discounts are usually of "limited quantity" and almost never for the "holilday/peak". You will usually find fewer available for the full and preferred sites as well, but also there are fewer of those sites in general compared to the number of premium. When the TA made our Oct res Premium sites had the AAA and they were cheaper than preferred. I would definitely use a Travel Agent since they can keep an eye out for the discounts when they are announced and also make your reservation as early as possible. Book a site only, requires a 1 night deposit, you can always change it to a package
  9. We have done something similar to that at the FORT when we check in. We have given the CM a list of sites that we would like if we're not sure about the one assigned. They have gone/called to see if any of them are available.
  10. There are many KOA's, as well as other CG's that do not allow you to reserve a "specific" site. You can ask, but they always say "requests are not looked at until your day of arrival". So if someone else is in the site you want you won't get it. The same goes for the FORT, there is no way they will know months out whether the site you want will be open when you arrive. Just like where we are now. We were given a site number when we made the ressie months ago, but when the confirmation arrived it said "subject to change".
  11. An EF-0 tornado is 65-85 mph winds and we have many of those in Ohio, but the ones you hear about are always the "big" ones. Also the news just talked about the "Tornado" going through Orlando and that 30,000 people are without power.
  12. "Really Angry Patron".... :rofl3: :rofl2:
  13. Premium was all that Rhonda could find for us, we originally were going to book preferred as usual.
  14. They have quite a few accessible cabins so I don't think booking one would be an issue. When you say grown children, how old? Sleeping arrangements in the cabin may be a little tight for 4 adults.
  15. Are you calling or talking to the front desk? If you are calling go up to the Outpost and talk to them..
  16. Periodically the DISNEY Visa gives double rewards for grocery purchases so if it coincides with Krogers 4X on gift cards you get 400 points from Krogers and $2.00 in DISNEY Rewards dollars for every $100.00 spent on gift cards instead of 100 points and $1.00.
  17. 35 gals. . . When it really gets good is when Kroger does the 4X and the DISNEY Visa has double for grocery purchases.
