  1. Thanks Kate Hubby takes SO many and then I take more so it's hard to chose which ones to use. Good thing it's all digital now so they are easy to store.
  2. This is where you need to go to get ideas. It's the largest RV in the country. Don't take your wallet though, I 've known lots of people who have lost their heads in the passion of the moment and bought before they've really considered everything. http://www.frvta.org/rv-shows/2012-florida-rv-supershow/
  3. Day 2 continues..... At this point we were getting hungry so we headed back to the RV for lunch. After that I started getting ready for the Wine Party. Had a lot to do cutting up cheeses, setting out crackers, and especially the chocolate. This is where DH and DD usually help...they eat the chocolate. I cracked open a couple of bottles for everyone to try. After setting it all up we sat back and waited. Poor DD was getting antsy since she would be having a friend join her today but not until later. Originally the friend had hurt her ankle in a basketball game and was going to be with us the
  4. Actually it looks a lot larger in the picture. It was a baby no more than 3.5 ft long. I was using the zoom on my camera...I know not to get close to a gator!
  5. Day 2 Saturday Woke up Saturday morning to find out we'd been spiked! I guess TCD went around in his stealth mobile and spiked everyone who had a FF sign at FW. Thanks TCD! My daughter loves it! After breakfast we decorated our site since it had rained all day on Friday and we never got to it. K wanted to see River Country, or what we could of it so we set off on our bikes to see what we could see. Which was not much. None of us came prepared to walk through high grass so we gave up too easily. Besides isn't that what Cousin Yuri is for? Instead we took pictures at the Backyard BBQ decorati
  6. Maybe women are better at multi tasking that's why God made us the Moms! Or so I tell my DH. My DD did say she met you on Halloween night, were you the one giving out full size candy bars? That always rates a memory to her!
  7. Day 1 continues.... We stopped in France to let DH try the Coq au Vin, which he really liked and for my Wine pour. Since DH is the better cook I hope to eat that dish at my own table soon. It was starting to rain harder so we ducked into the store in Japan so K could look at all the Domo stuff. Then we left to try the Pork Kakuni which we rated a 5 without the side sauce which was very hot to us. We stopped at the American pavilion to check out this puzzler. Does anyone know the answer? We couldn't find the pineapples at all. Maybe the lens was wet? Then back on to Italy because even tho
  8. Day 1 Friday 10/28 Our 2011 Halloween Adventure begins with my DD(13) K and I going to Ft Wilderness early and checking in at 9:30 am. DH was coming later with the RV so it was me and DD in the car for the morning with plans to hit MK and the Poly. Always love to see this sign when arriving: This was the first time we ever pulled up and had NO ONE in front of us. No waiting. Yeah! The cast member offered us 1219 and after checking on her S-L-O-W computer for the other sites we'd requested we ended up in 1219. This ended up being a great site for us. Directly across from the bathhouse, near a
  9. Well we ordered our first GAG last night. Got mac and cheese and mashed taters with gravy with it. Girl at checkout says you get 4 rolls so we ordered 1/2 and 1/2 and we ended up with 3 rolls and 2 cornbread. SO K I like them all. It was good and tasty only I like a little more spice, not too hot but when I eat it I can tell there's spice in it. It's a good deal we'll eat the rest for lunch today. Wave if you see my hubby running by. He's out running 26 miles this morning. He's practicing for the Goofy in January. He says it's hard to run here since he will have to go through all the loops
  10. We got spiked too! Thanks TCD! Found it while we were cleaning up this morning for the wine exchange later.
  11. We did Piano Bob yesterday after we bagged EPCOT. Make sure you bing your own drinks as they only have 1 bartender and you get mighty hoarse with all the singing you do. We didn't get waited on for 90 minutes while in the lounge. Otherwise it was a good time.
  12. She did a good job getting me to the Fort right now! I even got the loop I wanted and added an extra person at the last minute and check in had everything right when I got here.
  13. Fabulous park, unfortunately I have plans for camping for the rest of the year. How did you get it?(so I can get one sometime).
  14. Anybody there have reliable info on the GC parade time yet? Have they reprinted the cards with the info actually ON it? Inquiring minds want to know.......
  15. That's how I would get mine, only I'm fighting a dh and dd who both like the drumstiks. I say more meat!
  16. You are welcome. DH is s.l.o.w.l.y putting together a webpage with all the campground maps on it that we've been to over the last 6 years. Lots of them cannot be found on the web. If we take site pics then he adds those too.
  17. We have pics of it on our website. Just look in my signature. Check out both photo pages as we sometimes take different ones.
  18. Also cheap compared to the Fort. Great alternative if someone needs to save $$$ but wants to be close.
  19. Depends on the loop you are in. The first time we went we were in Magnolia 1 on a 1 way road (so glad we didn't meet anyone coming in or leaving- we were not going to backup with a toad behind us!) that was NOT a loop road. The 2nd time we camped we switched to Hickory as it's a loop road and MUCH wider with less trees overhead. Also closer to springs. If you want to see pics check out our website: www.curbcrusher.com. DH has put pics of a lot of sites on it (the ones we liked and would fit into-we have a 35 ft MH). Click on campground maps and the site #'s will come up. If you want pics of th
  20. Love this park we've been 2x now. The deer come right up to the campers. My family watches the divers at the hole. When they come up they are covered in the green "slime stuff" we call them the creatures from the black lagoon. You won't see manatees unless the temps drop below 40 degrees usually. They head out to the river until the water cools off too much, the springs are 68-72 year round so in the winter they congregate there.
  21. According to a post on the "other" forum the GC parade will be at 6pm. Who knows for sure though? I haven't seen it on a printed schedule yet.
  22. nice to know we can order extra cornbread and biscuits...my favorite part!
  23. Thanks everyone again...counting down the days and getting our menus settled. I'm trying for a no cook trip, unless dh wants to do it all!
  24. Thanks Kim, my dd took most of the pics so I will give her the credit. I was pleasantly surprised that she was willing to try everything we ordered. She is a super picky eater as am I (wonder where she gets it from...) but we have looked forward to F&W all year and I'm glad we've tried some new foods. Maybe we will add them to our menu at home as well.
