  1. Charity Ask for sites 1727 and 1729. We had those this weekend with my in laws and we both have 36 ft MH's. I'm sure a 5th wheel would fit just fine. They are spacious and not on top of each other, and a short walk to bathhouse if needed.
  2. He has always seemed to be extra reasonable on the side of the customer. He cut my price because he couldn't get the 6 passenger cart to the Fort in time. He was able to get me a 4 seat for 1 night and then another the next day but only charged me for 3 days instead of 4. I didn't ask him to do it either.
  3. Learned an important lesson this weekend at FW. DO NOT take GC into 300 loop just after checkin time. We waited 40 minutes to get out of that loop from people backing in. Most of them new to it. I would have chosen a more open loop for my first try. It was fun watching though.
  4. DH and FIL finished their 1/2 in 3 hours and DH and his Uncle finished their Full in 6:01. They were wiped out from the day before so the goal was to just finish. I admire anyone who can do this since I HATE running and can't imagine why they do it, but it is fun to watch everyone with their costumes!
  5. We rented form him again for Marathon weekend. Somehow our reservation had a problem for our 6 seater cart. He made good on it and gave me 2 four seater's instead which actually worked our better. Still have never met him, he's like Charlie on Charlie's Angels, just a voice on the phone.
  6. We did this last year so it is NOT new. The only drawback was DH if he wanted to go had to leave work early a few times. We are local so it wasn't too bad and it kept us out of EPCOT on the weekends during F&W when the crazies descend.
  7. Definetly try to go back. My daughter and I went on a sunrise horse ride, just us and the guide (no one else was crazy enough to get up that early and it was REALLY cold) and saw Mirror Lake. Gorgeous!
  8. Stopped by the stores here and was happy to see they still have FW merchandise. Picked up an ornament for the Christmas tree next year!
  9. Haven''t seen the NYE or 4th of July's at WDW yet but we checked out the Poly's firework's last night and at least I was disappointed. You do have a nice straight on view but I could barely hear the music and the Water parade was there at the same time so its music was not playing. I guess I really do like them best from the beach at FW. I prefer to hear the music even if I can't see every firework and I want to hear and see the water parade as well. Beside then you get 2 separate shows!
  10. Yes we've been spiked by the awesome TCD himself.
  11. Stopped by Feisty's site last night and got to talk to her and TiggerinBama. She was telling me her son was the one who wrapped her fences this year. She was saying he wants to help more since he realizes it takes a lot of effort for her to get it all done. I say Go Feisty's son! (I didn't catch his name). Jeanne had already packed up her decorations and Feisty's were starting to disappear as well. I was glad there were still some left to show our family since they hadn't been here before.
  12. We're in 1726,1727 and 1729. Look for the We3Peas sign. Heading out to see the Osbourne Lights
  13. Family ran the 5K this morning. My DD and I finished in 37:21. DMIL finished 1:05 and DU and DA finished in 1:15. It was freaking cold and the organizers gave us a bad start but we overcame and did well. DH, DFIL , DA and DU run in the 1/2 tomorrow. Then DH and DU run the marathon on Sunday.
  14. Where's the coupon? Never did this before but seems like a good idea.
  15. Those beautiful flowers are camellias. They were brought to the US by explorers and adventurers from Asia. Very pretty but no smell.
  16. I think it was Ed's problems I was remembering from last year. Hopefully he will chime in again with his experience and wisdom of how to work it.
  17. Lou, Will the Fort get specific buses to get to EPCOT's parking lot for the races on Fri/Sat/Sun? If so what time will they start to run? Navigating the RunDisney site is a pain in the **s to find this info. We have different groups of family doing different races so some need to drive while others will take the buses if available. If not some of us that really Don't like to drive will have to and ruin the day for everyone else. KWIM?
  18. The site with our 5th wheel was 164 and the site with our MH was 226. Most sites are very tight, except the ones that back up to the water. Most of those are gone before the general public can reserve them because Pinealls County lets their residents reserve 1 month earlier than the rest of us. If you have a unit that is tall don't go, if you have a unit that has opposing slides don't go. There is not enough room for them. The park doesn't trim bushes or trees and they really don't care when you damage your RV because of it. The last time we camped we paid $56 for the weekend with no sewer, no
  19. This is from the Orlando Sentinel today. It doesn't say its source. At Disney World, the final Candlelight Processional is tonight with guest narrator Marlee Matlin. Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade at Disney's Animal Kingdom stops promenading on Tuesday. Disney's Hollywood Studios pulls the plug on the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights on Jan. 7, and the Castle Dream Lights go out at Magic Kingdom on Jan. 8.
  20. I saw something, I think on Allears.net that said the Castle Dreamlights would stay up until the 7th. Does that mean they are on the castle but not "on" for a show?
