  1. First of all welcome!! 1. We had Motor Homes for years but recently went w/ a FW Toy Hauler. We love it. It is easier to tow than a Travel Trailer, it has a 1/2 bath in the garage and queen bunks. This would provide your son with his own "room" and allow you to bring you golf cart and other items, like a Big grill, with you. We picked up an inexpensive area rug which turns the garage into a room. Most have T.V. outlet already back there. 2. Strongly recommend a golf cart for any type of extended stay at the Fort. I suggest you contact Matt or Richie Aaron , fellow Fiends, at Sun Cit
  2. I understand that she dropped out of school and that she and seven of her smallish friends went to work for Walt. Lou, are you and the Mouse back working together?
  3. Welcome. Ask any question you want. You will answers, opinions and plenty of snark.
  4. What does your obvious abundance of talent have to do with your equally obvious lack of a pretty face?
  5. The perfect time to buy anything is when you find what you want, at a price you can afford live with and you hear those magic words "If we get it will you promise to shut up?".. :clint:
  6. I have been told that if you are lucky enough to be chosen to stay in the 3000 loop your site comes w/ concierge service, HIGH speed wifi and Isaac Washington as "Your Bartender". :doublebeer:
  7. If you want to get back to the Fort quickly, grab the little boat coming from the Contemporary, its next stop will the Fort. People tend to forget there are two boats, one goes clockwise and one counter clockwise around Riley's Island.
  8. Not to mention to keep from slicing your leg open w/ a steak knife on a paper plate.
  9. Late to this thread,,,, but gotta say any camper w/ a no. 3 on it is a keepa.......
  10. WOW, you really do some good thinking on the throne, Sir Robert. For what it's worth, I used to sell RVs and I think Bob is right..... (Did I really just say that?)
  11. We used to think premium was the only way to go but, the last trip we stayed in 1700 and loved it. Trees, room between pads and quite enough that kids (not ours, we're way old) could play in the street. The only thing is you either get a lot of walking or need a golf cart. Course with a cart you can go looping. Looping: Riding around the fort looking for Fiends and drinks. Enjoy
  12. Do I get a mug autographed by Bobby? Also will I be able to use it at the private 3000 pool swim up bar? Thank you in advance for your consideration of this matter.
  13. I'm definitely a Trail's End guy,,, except for the scalloped potatoes at the Chef's. I make them here at home and my son & I could go through a pan by ourselves.
  14. :welcome2: Firemouse. I have to admit I was surprised that Doodle was giving "tech" instructions; usually she just pushes LOTS of buttons. :rofl3:
  15. When I worked at the RV dealership we had a couple of Cruise America units limp in. Same BS from their "help" line.
  16. Her husband was at the other end of the table and was hypnotized by Anna.. Don't know who else was there AND don't care! :raspberry:
  17. We always travel w/ all the fix'ns. We'll get together again.
  18. Posted that Marilyn and I were going to be In Nashville, TN for the 4th. Next thing we knew we were having lunch with Bob & Kathy Pollack, Dave & Cindy Statz and Frank & Denise Holt. Being a Fiend is really a neat thing!! By the way Doodle, Anna hugs are pretty cool, too. Sorry no pictures, camera is on the counter at home.
  19. For goodness sake,,, don't encourage him!!!!
  20. When we were at Cap'n Cook's, I saw people in swim suits carrying stuff out.
  21. I make these for the Gkids here in Illinois; some love them some don't; doesn't make any difference Granpa likes 'em.......
