  1. Rachel my 11 year old loves that show. I think she watches that more than Disney now. I had told her you stayed at the Stanley before and showed her your pictures. You are like a superstar in her eyes. Oh and I am loving this trip report!
  2. Wow! I learned something new. I never realized there were crockpot liners. Ok Carol where can I find them around here?
  3. As usual I loved the report. I am trying to convince my son he needs to include UCF in his college visits when he starts going on them next year. Right now the schools that are on his list are University of Nebraska, Georgia Tech and West Point. Not sure exactly what he wants to major in but, he is hoping to be able to play football.
  4. So, I was looking at the cruiseships options for the Mayan Ruin tours. We will stop in Costa Maya and Cozumel. Which would be the better place for seeing the ruins? Cozumel is our first stop and we arrive at the port at 8am and depart at 6pm. The next day we go to Costa Maya and we arrive at 7am and depart at 4pm. One of the tours in Costa Maya includes a lunch buffet and an open bar. Pros and Cons on this option verses taking a shorter tour and getting lunch on our own.
  5. I honestly tried this reasoning for why we should go on a DCL cruise with my husband, but he wasn't going for it.
  6. Really enjoying the report. Trevor's drink sounds perfect. I will make sure to remember how powerful it is if I have it. Ok I have to ask....What is your crockpot lined with? It looks like clean up would be such a breeze. My kids love nutella. We will definetly have to try the nutella and waffles.
  7. We are actually sailing on Royal Caribbean so, we can't even take one bottle on with us. I had heard that they won't wait for you if you are late getting back unless you are with the excursion booked through the ship. This is definetly something to consider as the stress of worrying about missing the ship would probably out weigh any extra costs.
  8. Thank you Kim! I hope so too. My son was reluctant about going. He just wanted to stay home for spring break so he could just hang out with his friends and play his XBox. Told him though I understood where he was coming from (he does rarely have time to do either of those as he is so busy with school work and sports) we had not gone on a "real" vacation for two years and it will only be harder to do so as he enters his junior and senior year. Of course when we starting talking about all the food he could have he began to change his mind. Thank you Carol. I was hoping you would respond.
  9. I know exactly what you mean about living through the fiends. I do that too. I was already thinking about doing a trip report. I think I will take along a journal so that I can keep track of everything.
  10. We will be sailing out of Tampa and the ports are Cozumel and Costa Maya. Steve and I have talked about excursions and we both agree we would like the family to do one to the Mayan Ruins. I would love recommendations for which one to do if anyone has ever gone on one before. Also I have read that sometimes it is better to go with one that is not through the cruiseline. Any thoughts on that? Any recommendations for companies to use or not use if we went that route for booking an excursion? We will be driving so, which route would be better? When we went to Disney we took 65 South to Birmi
  11. My cousin and her family were recently at Disney. Her youngest I guess when seeing the fireworks at MK said her heart swelled. Looking at the pictures you took of them I can totally understand what she was saying. My heart definetly swelled and my eyes well they leaked a bit. I am glad you were able to make this trip as it seems like it was exactly what you needed after a looong work week. Oh and when you and Judy grab the tent and head off to the Fort can I tag along too?
  12. I was thinking the same thing. Loving the report!
  13. Ahhh just what I needed today. Thank You for posting this trip report! I thought Lou didn't read trip reports?
  14. I find myself while shopping looking for things to donate to the Fort Fiends raffles. Already picked something up for next Christmas.
  15. No one gave you the message to travel in the ark as you headed south?
  16. I have never had Tonga Toast either. I don't particularly care for French Toast in general, but told dh that the kids & him might like it based on all the raving reviews I've read.
  17. I am not a morning person, but TCD & you both have thinking that when I get back to the fort I need to become one. The peacefulness can be felt through your pictures. The last time we were at the Fort was two years ago. We brought the fishing poles since youngest dd & dh like to fish, but never ended up going fishing. I have said when we go back there will be more time spent at the Fort & less at the parks. Oh and I love your son giving "rides" on the cart with the card swiping.
  18. I have been reading along, but just now found a chance to reply. Brevor...should we start a "fanpage" for them?
