  1. We requested 500, won't be far away! Karen
  2. We will be there Nov 4-10. Also planning on the MVMCP on the 7th. And, since this will be probably one of the very few times we have a reason to decorate for Christmas, we will be doing so! I got this lighted musical inflatable as a steal last year at 75% off: So we plan to start the Christmas cheer upon arrival!
  3. Gee, 2%... their generosity overwhelms underwhelms me... however, it IS indeed better than the banks are offering. I wonder tho if the Disney Visa would add another 2% or just 1%? I think a lot of folks will take advantage of it. I remember the days of the Christmas Clubs at the bank... a lot of folks would open one and use it as a Vacation Club. At least it looks like you can get a full refund at any time.
  4. Trying to get our plans for the week set, this will be our first trip during F&W. With the dogs being left behind at the Fort, we're not planning on being away from them much more than 6-7 hours at a stretch. I was thinking of hitting Epcot on Wednesday (Nov 5) late afternoon to sample our way (and drink!) around the world, taking advantage of the EMH that evening. Good idea, or not so hot? Are we going to be in too much a crowd by 4-5 pm or will that be offset by being a weekday? Figured we also could be sampling during Illuminations too. Thanks!
  5. Hijacking the thread just a tad... Just got off the phone with Kelly from Tee Time reserving a cart for our November trip. As Disney is not allowing cart deliveries at FW, we will have to drive to the Winn Dixie on South Apopka Vineland Road which is 6 miles from FW. We will hook up to their trailer containing the golf cart and drive it to our site and unload, then return the trailer to them. They do this in the afternoon. If you do not have a ball hitch for your vehicle, they will allow you to drive their truck to your site to unload the cart, and return to Winn Dixie. OH, and btw, $3
  6. We talked about getting a secondary fuel tank but decided against it. We carry a backup 5-gallon diesel can and plan our fuel stops carefully. We don't travel long distances that often. Karen
  7. 10 mpg towing on a 35 gallon tank doesn't get you very far! Karen
  8. I was just thinking the same thing!
  9. I saw that too Mo. Guess maybe I'll get the chevron. Pulling a 36' fifth wheel can limit station choices too Karen
  10. Unfortunately, Hess is the one fuel station I can't get a card for, or I wouldn't be asking this! Just looking for my closest option for diesel that I can get card for, with the best price at the pump
  11. What's close to the Fort tho? We'll have about $400 in fuel cards by November, hoping to have one to use close to the Fort.
  12. Best ever is locally made in DE by RAPA! Fried up nice and crisp in a cast-iron pan! I like mine with cocktail sauce on it.
  13. I've got enough points for a $100 fuel card - we need diesel. Which would be our best bet traveling south on 95, or while at the fort?? Here are a list of those available: BP Chevron Circle K Exxon/Mobil Holiday Marathon Shell Sinclair Speedway Sunoco Texaco Thanks!
  14. If they keep upping the campsite price, maybe it'll qualify as a "Moderate" and then you can get a discount. The way the rates are going...
  15. We just picked up a Fire Buggz Fishing Pole Campfire Roaster Haven't tried it yet. New toy for the hubby. <sigh>
  16. I'm hoping some come up for our early November trip too!
  17. We will be there 8 days, not concerned about taking the time. We did do the Behind the Scenes Steam Train and Holiday Decorations tours in the past and really enjoyed both.
  18. We are thinking of doing the MK Keys to the Kingdom tour on our next trip. We will be a party of 4 adults (or at least we like to think we are). This will be the first visit to DW by ONE member of our party. Would you recommend the Keys to the Kingdom tour or would it ruin the magic a bit, even for an adult? Thanks!
  19. The longer they are, the easier they are to back up. Narrow roads and the idiots in the way at the campsite across from you not withstanding! Hope the dark paint doesn't heat it up too much in the summer sun.
