  1. We have a Heartland 5th wheel. This will be our 5th season with our Sundance, their - or what used to be - "mid-profile" fifth wheel. We have had few problems with ours. Only 1 major under warranty, in that the gas line when the kitchen slide was in, was getting pinched and the stove and fridge would not light. Replaced after the first season. Had the bedroom slide roller bolts break off last year, which we were able to fix. This is our first rig, so not a lot to compare with. You can gain some insight into the North Trail experiences of others from the owner's forum - www.heartlandowner
  2. Haven't been here that long - and way far away from 25,000+ posts, but have met some great folks and love all the info fun shared here!
  3. Here's how we got a good bit of our trip for 55% off.. yes, 55%. There is a smart phone app called Shopkick. You get points for walking in certain stores and for scanning products in said stores. Once you accumulate enough points, you can redeem for a gift card - one of which happens to be a Target gift card. Hubby and I both have accounts - we would save our points (6,250) until we were able to get a $25 Target gift card. Then I would take the 2 Target cards (total of $50) and order two Disney gift cards from the Target website. Using my Red Card discounted the $100 worth of Disney gi
  4. I'm interested to see if the dietary change makes a difference. My dog pretty suddenly developed an allergy about 4 years ago now I think it's been. Tried all kinds of different foods, none made a difference. Even a home-made raw diet. I chalk it up to grass. If the ground is snow-covered and stays that way she will get better, but not fully. What I find is an *immense* help to to wipe her feet with baby wipes every time she comes in from outside. She will take her hind foot and actually try and scratch the front foot with it! Makes a hell of a noise in the fifth wheel in the middle o
  5. Maybe they'll do something like Churchill Downs is adding for the Derby this year: http://www.bizjournals.com/louisville/blog/morning_call/2015/01/churchill-downs-is-getting-diy-drink-machines.html Guests at the new owners' suites at Churchill Downs will be able to experience the latest technology in self-serve beverage systems during this year's Kentucky Derby. Levy Restaurants, the concessionaire at Churchill Downs, is installing an artificially intelligent robotic bartender called Monsieur around the suites, WAVE-TV reports. Monsieur uses touchscreen, Cloud-based technology to enable us
  6. Happy Birthday Snarky! It's been fun since I found you in June of '12, but even better since this time last year when we made some special Fiendish friends :)

  8. When is the next trip? You know we are all living vicariously thru your trip reports!
  9. While down in the utilidors on the tour we came to a display case of past, present, future. The DVC was just mentioned in passing, as if it were common knowledge. Sorry but I didn't get any more info other than "there will be a DVC property at Fort Wilderness" Alright... you need to elaborate on the second one. Karen
  10. Two things were confirmed on our Keys to the Kingdom tour. The Animal Kingdom light show and the DVC property at Fort Wilderness. Karen
  11. I've told Patti many times it's a good thing she came to live with us because somebody else would have sent her back long ago! Karen
  12. I guess we were away from the site too much! We had dinner reservations and got to Beckers later than we thought we would. Karen
  13. Word will get out you know... Livin' the life at Lou's! You'll have another to tend soon I'll bet! Karen
  14. I paid money for the Keys to the Kingdom Tour for next month. I'm learning more from this! :). I remember our first trip to DW. The MK was the last place we got to. I remember thinking it was just an old amusement park (gasp!) but I have come to appreciate and love the details like the bottle from the Pirates movie! Thank you TCD!
  15. Our first trip we didn't tell the kids until a week before we left. I had SO much fun with that! And the kids were 13 and 17! Karen
  16. And we wonder why our electric rates are so high. Same thing happened when a kid climbed on top of a RR car and got electrocuted. They sued. Never should have been allowed in court. That happened years ago up north when copper stealing was just getting popular. It was either Con Ed or LI Power where the jerk went and cut into a live high voltage line. He turned crispy, the family sued and won. Not sure on what grounds or why, but the utility company payed out a hefty sum. Karen
  17. The Tinkerbell one is for the GrandDog. Will get pics next time she is over. Which come to think of it will be tonight. DD works 12-hr sifts, so we dog sit. Thanks Missy!
  18. I used to keep bandanas on the dogs a good bit of the time, then got out of the habit. But they were just the plain red ones... like you'd see at HDDR. Didn't take them long to get used to them.
  19. They better hurry up! I'll be there in 3 weeks.
