  1. did you also know that the CoP that is in Flordia that was in Disneyland but was also the same one that was at the Worlds Fair in NY in 1964/5. It was one of the first things I took me back when I first went to MK in 1976 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carousel_of_Progress
  2. hmmm, I am gonna have to dig for some others, this ain't going well in my stump the Joker mode maybe I should post during the day when you are at work!
  3. We have stayed over night at Pecan Point several times and never had and trouble, I hope it was only a fluke because that is our go to spot. We have also stayed at Ozark several times too but not since it became a KOA, it changed hands a couple yrs ago. The new people seemed nice, then right after that it because a KOA and we haven't been there since. On the way home we try to make it to Deer Run, it is a very nice CG too. Vicky, let us know how Dove's Rest is if you stop there.
  4. oh the comments I have flowing through my head!
  5. I would first say, get the idea of a little truck and gas mileage out of your head, the size and gas mileage are not the main considerations in towing, its the capacity and safety that are your main concern. A salesman or private owner will give you a line that this can be towed with this or that, THEY WANT TO SELL YOU SOMETHING. Do your research before even thinking of buying either a TT or truck. Ask plenty of questions here and anywhere else you need to, there is stupid questions when it comes to safety. There are plenty of people on this site that have done things with trucks and trailers
  6. don't bother spending a load of $ on diff stuff, go to Lowes or Home Depot and find what you need in the plumbing section for $3, take the piece with you (soak it in bleach water first).
  7. if you have the red one that screws in like I do, it has a very long tube on it below the threads, some places use a 3 inch adapter or reducer as the first connection below ground. when that is the case, the tube below the threads is too big to fit, I cut my tube off to a length that fits these adapter/reducers thus never having the problem again......so far. another thing you can do is buy a 4 inch threaded adapter to 3 inch thread and use it to give you the length you need, at the fort they will work well because the drains are pretty much below ground in the tubs.
  8. ok now this is weird, Doodle and Mike left home last week, the day before they left it rained, since then it has been beautiful, as soon, and I mean AS SOON as she posed "I'M HOME" it started thundering and now it's raining. now we know, Doodle controls the weather!
  9. so this is what a TDC TR looks like, hmmmm. I feel bad for the dock, it looks so lonely, you could throw a line in once in a while to make it feel better, Andrew. as for the north/ south accent thing, I am a caught between, raised in the north lives in the south for 20 yrs, I stumble across some words when I am up north because I am hearing it different than I have been used to hearing it and it rolls out of my mouth as an in between kind slur. The funnest thing is I don't ever notice my one grand daughter Sissy's accent until we are up north then it is very pronounced. Ty doesn't seem to ha
