  1. who hasn't, adult or child stood there and tried to catch a water blob?
  2. Well Well Well, I have to admit something here, I read this "trip report" and I am amazed at the accuracy of all the reporting here. One other thing to admit, we were lucky as all get out that the CG was full for this weekend, the weather looks like crapola starting Friday night and worse thru Saturday into Sunday. I must say the fiend kids had a ball, they all got along and all hung out the whole time, bigger ones keeping an eye on the smaller ones. The growed up fiends had a good time also, eating, telling lies, eating, shooting the bull, eating and basically enjoying the weather and e
  3. OK, now that all the funny people have gone to bed I can say hahahahahahahahah Braves lost a double header today!
  4. O mounted a piece of 2x2 steel tubing across the front of the bed down through the frame and welded a huge washer in the middle for a loop to attach the cable.
  5. :toiletreading: :banghead: :gaah: :smartass: :faceplant2: :moon: :barf: :argh: :sarc3: :badmood:
  6. I mounted my winch on the front of the cart, I used the truck battery to winch it up, I am too chicken to drive it up if I don't find someplace that has a ditch.
  7. I would take them to the dock behind the meadows trading post, it should be easy to get to and have room for them not to mention its a good fishing spot. There is a picnic table on the dock but if you need the room I don't think they would mind you moving it onto the grass to get the room you need. Worms are good but if you get the Giddy Up and Go chicken dinner the night before save the or part of the breaded skin, its the best bait, it stays on and catches some nice fish. I would say this to everyone who fishes off that dock, DON'T reach down into the water from the dock, more than once I
  8. The never lube caps are totally different, I had them on my last trailer
  9. I'm not saying they shouldn't be done, they always need to be taken apart every couple yrs and checked and new grease packed into the bearings, along with new seals.
  10. people put 100,000 miles on cars and never pack the bearings, they are the same thing. Personally I would but you have to make that decision for yourself. I have the easy ones but I did pack them last yrs just for S&G's and they didn't really need it. As I said people drive 100's of thousand miles but trailers are a little different but not that much, what I don't know either how many miles you have on the trailer.
  11. That is not a 5 min job, or even an hour job, you need to pry the cap off pull it all apart clean the bearings, pack them, put new seals in and KNOW how to put it together. Too tight you burn the bearings up, not enough grease you burn the bearings up, too loose you burn the bearings up, packed wrong you burn the bearings up, burn the bearings up and it could cost you a lot and be dangerous. I am guessing if he doesn't know how to get the cap off he hasn't done them before, I would tell him to get someone who has before he tries it
  12. at least you could have cleaned off your truck before you took a picture of it
  13. damn I would give my left....well I would love to have one of them in my driveway
  14. thats Kathy's secret ingredient for her coffee :)
  15. oh, that was ten, its on like Donkey Kong edit: I thought I had fixed it before anyone saw it, Dave is Johnny on the spot, I was watching the ballgame and typing at the same time :moon:
  16. I agree completely, the worst deal you can make is when you have a trip planned and you want a rig NOW, take your time, listen to the negatives that roll through your mind, they are trying to tell you something. When the right one comes along those voices will subside and you'll know you made a good deal. Believe me I havw ignored the voices too many times in my life and regretted it.
  17. join the GG at Townsend over Memorial Day, its close to Dollywood, its the old Stone Mnt GG that has moved.
  18. OH I beg to differ with you my dear, the first time we were in site 602 I didn't notice until we were ready to leave but someone had driven concrete nails into what was a relatively new site at the time. I don't know how I missed them for over a week but as I was cleaning up I tripped over one of them, they were sticking up about a quarter of an inch, looking around I found four of them around the site. They weren't off to the side like they were for an easy up, more like in the middle of the site for a tent.
