  1. For most FR brands, you can buy a second year of factory bumper-to-bumper warranty for $150.
  2. I'm another that's not much help. Like Humphrey Bear, we use rvparkreviews.com but our most recent purchase was $10 for the Allstays RV and Camp app. Very expensive by app standards, but I honestly wished we would have this years ago. We used it to find a Walmart to overnight at and then 2 campgrounds. We use it for identifying fuel stops. It's our all around go to app.
  3. Thanks! I also found this FF page, but looks like most of the images are broken: http://www.fortfiends.net/_/accomodations/loop-information/fort-wilderness-site-maps-in-googleearth-r312 Though, I will say- I think at first glance that this Google Earth map will work quite nicely for what I want.
  4. Is this the Google Earth file? http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/10162-fort-wilderness-site-map-in-google-earth/
  5. Do you mind PMing me the info? I don't have background on the FF beginnings, so I carry no prejudices. :)
  6. My wife claims she would work at Disney if given the opportunity. I call shenanigans, though.
  7. I've never been good with using Google Earth. Either I'm really dumb or way over thinking it. But I'll go looking for that link. I'm kind of a fast runner... maybe I can grab it and take off when I'm there next.
  8. I've seen the overall maps of Ft. Wilderness that identifies the various loops. I've also seen the videos of the loops and have the app. What I can't seem to find and am not sure if it is published are individual loop maps that show the specific sites on them. Surely this exists for the Disney employees - does anyone know of these exist for the public?
  9. You already got good info, but this is exactly what my wife and I did with our family a bunch of times this past summer (we were staying in Clermont for a few weeks).
  10. Smack my head- duh. I never did figure it out. Same here. While I do like the idea of Mickey-F-Os.
  11. In in. I love all of the background info in your reports!
  12. I've had some issues with my Forest River (a Palomino/Sabre, each company is separate within FR). In fact, my camper is back at the factory a second time due to slide out issues. However, their warranty service has been top notch for me.
  13. That's fair. We'll see how it goes next time. If it goes poorly, we'll give up and just go request a different site. :-)
  14. I'll say- there are a few sites on the preferred loops that will also work. We stayed on the 200-loop with our 43' fifth wheel and got into the site. It was cozy getting there, but it worked. It was before I knew to make specific requests AND we made it a day before we arrived for an overnight stop. We have 3' deep slides on both sides. That said, my wife liked the location enough that using the Fort Fiends app to pick site options, I plan on requesting those loops again when we go in June.
  15. I had to ask another cousin, but here's what I got: "OK, she worked at WGO OIN in Tegucigalpa And outside if Teg at Proyecto Alcanse and Little Red Bil School Also at the Catholic orphanage in Octopeque What I didn't realize is that she went down there on her own. With no organization backing her" I know that "WGO" is a group that she was working with for a while. I'm not sure what "OIN" means. :) And she's OK - health issues have had tabled her missionary work which is sad, she wanted to do much more.
  16. We parked there a couple of times. I drove in one evening for dinner and couldn't find parking anywhere (there included). I drove around for a good 35-45 minutes before I finally broke down and used the parking garage behind the Westin. That was amazingly cozy width- and height-wise... but that's for a later part of the trip report. :)
  17. I heard that he won't do windows? :rotfl6: I feel like this is appropriate: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpYVqZM4NnA
  18. Oh man- so basically you're saying I can use and abuse you?!
  19. Funny you mention that, I have a list of everything I need to put an AC in our bunkhouse. If we do it I will basically do a 30 amp install just for the bunkhouse. That would give us additional power options in the winter for running heaters as well. You have the 365SAQ, right? Please document your install. I was reading about a toy hauler and it had something about a power management / balancing system for the 3 factory A/Cs. Not sure what that is.
  20. You'll likely still use it. It helps with sway control and pushing weight back to the front. But, most importantly- check the hitch itself for ratings; it should tell you max tongue weight with and without a weight-distributing hitch.
  21. Oh. Are you sure you were legally parked? Most spaces like that are marked as being for residents only, and require a parking permit. TCD Yeah, it was out on a main road, not one of the streets with houses. We were parked in front of a church or business or something. There were definitely no signs or indications that we weren't. If we were illegally parked, we got away with it. :) Thanks! I'm trying to already talk to my wife about going away on our off year (this year). I really dislike cold!
