My husband works for Amtrak. So it works out cheaper than flying for us. On the plus side we have our car(which we needed), no gas spent on ride down, we didn't have to pay for a hotel, or drive thru the night with a 5 year old or my husband and arrive reasonably rested.

1. When there aren't enough quarters... hotwiring is key.
2. I never get lots of sleep. What does that even mean? ;D
3. Stretchy clothing.... check.
4. No amount of facial stretching will fully prepare you for this. But it certainly won't hurt.

Ed and I are not that great! We are a family and are fortunate to live right here in this little town near each other. If y'all think my Mama is taken care of, you should have met my Grandma Rita Mae! I guess we learned from our parents how to treat our elders. Mama's memory is starting to slip pretty bad and sometimes it's not easy answering the same question a million times. Ed is with her 24/7 pretty much and I'm gonna give him a lot of credit for his patience and how good he is to her. He takes her to the doctor and grocery shopping and all the day to day stuff. It's really not always fun and games. When she misplaces things she will get very upset and most the time she gets mad and blames him. We are going to enjoy every minute we have with our Mama. She deserves every minute of fun and happiness! Sorry for the downer, but the reality is we are just a normal family with an aging parent doing the best we can! Ok, maybe not so normal! :rofl3:

Cell phone signal INSIDE the camper. Now he won't have to go outside to the outer reaches of the earth and stand on his head to call me.
He has neighbors.
