  1. Here's a notice from Disney on the parks blog page They have a video and a layout of a typical room and what parts will be getting extra cleaning. You would think with the $$$ they charge they should've always been cleaning the rooms that thoroughly! https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2020/06/an-update-on-disney-resort-hotels-from-katie-kelly-vice-president-of-worldwide-safety-services/
  2. Unless you stay on Disney property, how would they know if you are there within 14 days of entering the state? And even then you could say you were at the Motel 6 for 14 days before arriving to the parks/resorts. I really doubt Disney is going to ask for proof of your travel itinerary and hotel receipts.
  3. And here's the reason why... Major League Soccer to be Housed at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort for Upcoming “MLS is Back” Tournament After months of speculation, Disney has officially announced that Major League Soccer will be resuming its 25th season at Walt Disney World Resort, hosting the MLS is Back Tournament at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex from July 8 to August 11. The unique tournament will include all 26 MLS clubs competing in a continuous schedule of 54 total matches that will take place nearly every day––but just a
  4. Busch Gardens announced their new Covid Hours According to their site, Busch Gardens will be open five days a week. They’ll be open from 10am to 6pm Thursday through Monday, staying closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. They’ll go back to operating 7 days a week in September, but with the same hours. These are the same hours they used to have (but 7 days a week) up to about 30 years ago before they put in lights and expanded the park. Summer was a little later because it stayed lighter longer.
  5. Lots of good questions, unfortunately no answers as of yet. Various FB sites have a lot of discussions (whinings) on Disney needing to step up their game and start announcing how they are going to handle things so people can start making plans. Some of the complaints are justified and some are just whines. Even when they do make announcements they are confusing and conflicting. When they announced about suspending AP payments one of the choices was to keep paying and extend your renewal date. But there was no information on how to opt for that choice. I waited a few days thin
  6. Other sites have said only the Deluxe resorts are opening, which I guess all have DVC in them, plus the two other offsite DVC's are opening.
  7. It's interesting that only the Fort and resorts with a DVC presence are the ones that are opening.

  9. I thought it would be a good add on to any TT as long as it wasn’t a 5th wheel!

  11. Previously there was another option to keep making monthly payments, and the pass would be extended by the amount of days the parks were closed. I guess that's the same as stopping now, then catching up at the end.
  12. I got this email early this morning I guess because we have silver passes. Not a lot of info but something. The interweb is blowing up with people whining and asking the same questions over and over instead of reading and waiting to see what the official word is going to be. I'm just glad Jason has the inside scoops. An Important Walt Disney World Update As we plan for the reopening of our Disney Resort Hotels and Theme Parks, we are keeping the wellbeing of our Guests and Cast in mind. And we’re here to help you as we
  13. We opted to continue paying and have our end time extended. I had to call for that option. There was a lot of conflicting info when they first shut down.
  14. Summer blackout for silver. Yes they are well aware of the rules but that won’t stop the whining. Only thing I will be upset about is missing out on the two pass holder Magnets from the flower/garden festival.
  15. This could be a roadblock SeaWorld and Walt Disney World approved by Orange County to reopen, dates await approval by DeSantis Hah, who am I kidding, he'll definitely approve it!
  16. I can hear the passholders that are blocked out screaming bloody murder that they should be allowed to go because they lost out of their open times because of the virus! And this still has to be approved by the Governor.
  17. There was a mask I saw that has a small snap open cap just large enough to fit a straw thru. When you're done you just snap the cap closed. There was another mask on the news last night that had a hand held lever. You squeeze the lever and the middle of the mask goes up and down opening a gap to shove food in, then you let go of the lever and the gap closes.
  18. Someone posted on FB (maybe mistakenly) that their reservations were cancelled, but Disney was taking new reservations starting June 1st. They were pitching a fit. Maybe got June and July mixed up
  19. I'm not a big fan of celebrities, but when I see a post about her or from her I usually check it out because 90% of the time it's something goofy, and you can't tell if she's serious about the post or just playing it up! Disney will announce when they are good and ready. That being said, if they are smart, they will be holding off to see how things go at DS and Universal with the mandatory mask rules. There has been a firestorm of comments, posts, blogs both for pro and con face masks. If Disney keeps the rule and doesn't enforce it, there is going to be a lot of problems i
  20. It's a given that he will approve it, he wants the economy to start rebounding. Remember, FL lives on all of the taxes that the tourists generate by spending at shops or the various hotel taxes.
  21. No news yet about Universals plans. https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs/archives/2020/05/21/from-gatorland-to-universal-orange-county-theme-parks-make-big-moves-toward-reopening?utm_source=feature&utm_medium=home&utm_campaign=hpfeatures&utm_content=HomeTopFeature From Gatorland to Universal, Orange County theme parks make big moves toward reopening Like it or not, inexorable movement continues toward "reopening Florida," and that includes some area theme parks and attractions getting closer and closer to swinging their doors wide-open. A clutch of area attra
  22. Biggest thing is how are they going to handle the restroom visits?
  23. You could go the Heidi route https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/2020/05/9827847/heidi-klum-highlights-at-home-social-distancing-instagram or this https://www.inquisitr.com/6063624/heidi-klum-social-distancing-highlights-instagram/ I dyed my wife's hair for her a couple of weekends ago
  24. Might've been the least expensive place to eat that was open. A woman on FB posted a picture from Blaze, and in the background was some vlogger that she follows. She had the full getup, the iPhone in some sort of cage with a handle and light.
