  1. This posted to WDW Magic today. I'd consider this "confirmed" http://www.wdwmagic.com/Events/Mickeys-Not-So-Scary-Halloween-Party/News/30Apr2011-Mickey%27s-Not-So-Scary-Halloween-Party-confirmed-dates-and-pricing.htm http://www.wdwmagic.com/Events/Mickeys-Very-Merry-Christmas-Party/News/30Apr2011-Mickey%27s-Very-Merry-Christmas-Party-confirmed-dates-and-pricing.htm
  2. It can happen. Not sure what the circumstances were in your case, but I know that finding a good shelter/rescue is sometimes as hard as finding a good breeder. Just because someone is doing "rescue" for the right reasons, doesn't mean they're necessarily doing it will. You want to be sure whoever you get a dog from, they know their dogs well and are interested in getting to know YOU well too. It's all about making the best match and meeting your expectations for a dog. Sometimes potential adopters get annoyed when we tell them the pretty picture they picked off the website isn't a match f

  4. Then I'm sure he'll bounce back. Brady had many setbacks over the years. Weird things would spook him and he'd retreat back into his shell. But each time he bounced back more quickly and continued to make progress. He'll come around. He's lucky to have you.
  5. From the Disney Parks blog... http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2011/04/celebrity-guests-announced-for-star-wars-weekends-2011/
  6. I've said I'll try V&A someday when I've got some extra $ burning a hole in my pocket. Anyone else ever been? From the Disney Food blog... http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2011/04/29/guest-review-victoria-and-alberts-chefs-table/
  7. Aw... poor thing! Hopefully he'll bounce back quickly. Brady came to us at 7 months - he'd already been from a puppy mill to a pet store and through 2 families and a foster home. He practically lived under the coffee table the first 18 months and had no use at all for people. He didn't touch a toy for the first 2 years. It took a lot of time and patience, letting him progress at his own pace, but he's now 9, plays like a 6 month old and just in the last 2 years has started giving kisses to perfect strangers and insisting on sitting ON us on the couch. He also pounces on me every morning as s
  8. We snowblow paths through the backyard at home when the snow gets too deep. They eventually trample it all down anyway. At camp they're on their own... Here's Princess Prissypants staying out of the deep stuff watching her dad try and get the snowmobile unstuck... When we first got her she was 10 weeks old and it was January. Her first trip to camp we put a pink, hooded parka on her because she was teeny and had hardly any hair. She ran through the deep stuff regardless... pink hood flapping in the breeze!
  9. Now that dog has some attitude... I can just tell by the look in his eyes.
  10. Dammit! I'm 31, 5'9" and weigh 122   :rofl2: :) :rofl2: :) :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:
  11. And then you've got my knuckleheads... who have the body mass and hair, but not the good sense to know when it's time to come out of the snow! I've literally had to drag Brady inside when I found him laying in a snowbank shivering! He was laying there waiting for someone to throw the frisbee ....again. Brady and Lyn have double coats, but Bz doesn't, and we have to watch her in particular. The poor little princess will sit on the deck shivering, but won't actually ask to come in. And of course they LOVE to play with the snow. We take them to camp in Maine in the winter and the funniest thi
  12. Superb!!! I better get hopping on going through what I have already. I predict a summer sitting in my lounge chair at the campsite with the laptop sorting through FF2.0 content from you all!! :grpwelcome:
  13. Agreed! We got Bz in January. January in New England is a horrible time to housetrain a puppy. It seems even colder and snowier when you're slogging outside at 2am in your pajamas!
  14. Holy crap - NOT THE SMILIES!!! :panic: That does it, I'm backing up all the smiley in the menu and on the smiley thread right now.... I may not be back for a while.
  15. Now THAT would have made sense, instead of reusing the same footprint and the only changes being decreasing the depth and making it zero entry). I've seen pics of the pool in the summer. It looks like the family pool on the Disney Wonder on an "at sea" day, when the only actual "swimming" going on is the bacteria between the wall-to-wall bodies. (yuk) Given that in general, I'd bet campers spend more time actually AT their resorts than other guests, it would have made a heck of a lot more sense to turn the pool area into something bigger and better. Maybe not to the extreme like Stormalon
  16. I forgot one VERY important bit of information... Fort merchandise at the Trading Posts! Grill the CMs for any info or even rumors (within the confines of the Geneva Convention of course) scour both TPs for any sign of Fort Merchandise. If you come across anything at all, please get us photos and prices. Unless it's the last one and you buy it yourself. In which case photos and bragging will be acceptable. carry on...
  17. That photo is priceless! And now I see what you mean by Brady looking so much like Piper! Stand the tips of his ears up straight and they could almost be twins.
  18. We're still looking for content for FortFiends2.0 and any and all help is greatly appreciated! Here's my wish list of stuff. Jen and Chris may have more. If you manage to snag any actual paper materials (brochures, maps, menus, etc) and can't scan them, PM me and I'll give you my mailing address. As for sending any of this electronically, PM me if you want my email addy (or just check the content thread on the Community board) or you can even post it directly to this thread and I can grab it from here. Don't shrink your images down too small - especially for things like menus or signs or a
  19. Better idea... I'm going to start a new thread for anyone that's going to be there soon for things that would be great for FF2.0. Stay tuned...
  20. Ooh - yay! Our very own TEAM of reporters! I'll come up with a list....
  21. Alright - I did it (thanks for the link!) ..but I'm pretty sure me being on Twitter is one of the signs of the apocalypse.
