  1. This is one thing I love about internet shorthand - different abbreviations mean different things to different people. Since I hang out on groups with names like "Christian Moms of Many Blessings" and "Mothers of many Young Siblings", TTC to me usually means Trying to Concieve! LOL!
  2. I have the morning off from school (my dh took to the boys out to do yard work for a customer), so I am catching up on my TR reading. Good job, as always, TCD!
  3. Best: Playing kickball with Chip and Dale the night we arrived and getting chosen same night to "wake up" Chip and Dale for the sing-along. Worst: TRying to figure out what was sprayed on dh and dd while they slept in hammocks that caused them to get rashes on any exposed skin our last night there.
  4. I saw this question on the FB group "I Love Camping at Fort Wilderness". They said they were looking on this site, but had trouble finding them. I figured someone here would know the direction to point me/her for the info. Thanks!!
  5. I gave up my lunch time to read this, but it was worth it! Always love me a TCD TR. Oh, and being a homeschool mom, I can just adjust the schedule accordingly. My dd will bring me my lunch in a ew minutes.
  6. Yikes! last time we were there, we used our trailer for storing all sorts of stuff. It is my dh's landscaping trailer. We were hoping to not bring it for our next trip, but I hate feeling like I can't. OTOH, I know dh wouldn't want it in the over flow lot. As you can see, we made good use of the extra space:
  7. I am hoping and praying to meet everyone on the 31st.
  8. It is not only allowed, but it is encouraged! (Only now I have to go google "oxford comma") Okay, back from googling. My teacher taught me the Oxford Comma. I always thought I was right and every one else was wrong. That said, we would be happy, pleased, and excited to read your pre-trip report.
  9. I feel like Sally Field - "You like me! You really like me!"
  10. I saw this and thought of you. Hoping to meet you soon!
  11. I *think* that someone still on the other place sent me a link in a pm. But that was months ago and at my advanced age it is very hard to remember. I think at least one or two people figured it out from pm's I sent them on that board. Now, I just go tto the FB Disbaords page about once a week and post what a great place this is. Same with the "I Love Camping At Fort Wilderness" FB paage.
  12. Thanks, Kim! I was having to do some pretty fast scrolling, as our pc is in the living room where my 6 kids hang out. Can't wait to read more about your vacay!
  13. That looks so great! Can't wait to read the TRs!
  14. I know that McD's well. I'm glad to hear they have improved. They were one of the dirtiest McD's I had ever encountered when we were there last year. My favorite state campground in SC! I adore the beach, the lighthouse, the campers...the only bad thing is the mosquitos. I vowed last year I would only go back if we had a beachfront site.
  15. My family is enjoying looking at them and seeing how they relate to what we have studied about the country. Like lederhosen are just the shorts - we thought they had to have the funny suspenders to be lederhosen, but they don't. Anyway, not sure I would buy them, but they are fun to look at. Thanks for sharing!!
  16. My family was watching a tv show with very touching music as I was looking at your last few photos. Maybe you should start adding a sound track to your TR's. Just pick out a few songs and we can play them in the background as we read through. It was a great TR, as always. Thank you for sharing the magic with us. I too hope to see you at Halloween.
  17. Great trip report so far. We always have McD's for dinner the day we get home from a trip. No way am I going to cook after a vacation. I scrolled quickly through part of the hijack, as I have young men in the room. As to the M words, as a Marvelous Martha who is a Mom, I approve! LOL KFK, what beach did you camp at? I am still hoping to see the ocean this summer.
  18. Great trip report! I have once again gotten behind on laundry and cooking, or in this case, baking (Black Forest Cake to celebrate finishing our two weeks studying Germany). But it was well worth it. My 4yo loved the pictures and saw many things she wants to do next time she goes. Can't wait to read more! BTW, TCD is absolutely right about the TR's. I love to go back and read the one I wrote. i also recently found a TR I wrote about our trip to the Outer Banks back in 2003. It really helps bring back the memories!
  19. I, for one, am very proud of our MagicBus. Way to go, Lou!!
