  1. I agree that this show relies heavily on castle projections and you need to be able to see those to get the full impact. Sarah and i wastched from an area on Main Street, that was forward of Casey's Corner. I could see most of the castlle. Sarah, being taller, could see the entire castle. My opinion? Fantastic and spectacular don't seem like strong ewnough words. I loved this. I am surprised people say it doesn't have the emotional impact of Wishes. I would cry during Wishes. I sobbed during this. There is a section about the importance of family that overwhelmed me. The tech
  2. At this point, Sarah and I are planning to drive down on 5/11 to see the last night of Wishes and then see the new show on the 12th and drive home on the thirteenth.
  3. Is "ride a banshee" a euphemism for something? Love the early morning Fort pictures!
  4. Sarah and I had diner there a few years ago. It was really good! I hope it isn't closing.
  5. I bet the cheap sign for the Chuck Wagon is so they can easily raise the prices on busy weekends.
  6. To fax, I usually just google "free fax" and find a site offering a free first fax. I use that to make my site request. Easy-peasy.
  7. Quick theory on the Popeye shirt and other non_Disney looks: My eldest son told me he didn't want to wear Disney shirts to the parks. His reasoning was that everyone would know he liked Disney, since he was there. By wearing a shirt showing something else, people would know even more about him.
  8. I would start the day at Hollywood Studios with breakfast at Hollywood and Vine. Then, a ride on Rockin' Roller Coaster. Then off to the Frozen Sing-Along. Then over to Epcot, where I would ride Soarin'. After viewing the American Adventure, I would have lunch at Le Cellier. Then over to the Magic Kingdom. I would hang out on Main Street USA or Frontier Land soaking up atmosphere until it was dark. A nighttime ride on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train would be followed by viewing Wishes from Main Street, near the hub. I would get some corn dog nuggets from Casey's Corner before slowly making my
  9. I usually allow 90 minutes from leaving the campsite to get to anywhere on WDW property using Disney Transportation. It usually takes much less, but I like to be early rather than late. Just a heads up: If you want to go to MK before park opening, the best way is to take the resort boat to the Contemporary and walk over.
  10. I am all about planning and am often accused of planning too much into a day. But even to me, this seems way too much. I would drive to Orlando, go to Publix on the way to the Fort to get those fwe last supplies, then go to the Fort and set-up. Sp[end the rest of the day enjoying the Fort! Get a GAG for dinner, take the kids to the pool or the Sing Along with Chip and Dale. Then hit a park early the next day and have some great fun. Hitting a park early and riding several rides with little to no wait is fun, but it can be tiring. Doing that and then coming back to the camp to rela
  11. Have you tried the Shop Disney Parks app? I can't download it on my phone (no more storage!), or I would check for you.
  12. Further proof that our Justice System is not working! I have no idea what the solution is, but something needs to be done!
  13. BTW, I showed the soup cosy to my 14yo and he asked me to buy him one. We do most of our microwave cooking in a Pampered Chef micro-cooker, but they also get hot on the bottom.
  14. Can this thread expand to include other Dollar Finds, especially Disney themed ones? I love adding little bits of Disney to my day and DT is a more affordable way to do it. A few years ago, I got some cotton swabs (imitation Q-tips) in a small tin like an Altoids box, but with Mickey painted on the outside. I also have a Disney Princess themed nightlight I use when we stay in a Disney hotel. Any other cool finds?
  15. Sorry I missed any fun! This J O B thing is a huge time suck, as most of you already knew. Happy Belated Birthday, Snarky!
  16. I saw this on a local Facebook group tonight: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Every WWW, I end up getting home in the wee hours of the morning. I am hoping to leave earlier this year, but even that can go wrong if there is an accident or bad weather. My children have made me promise that this year, if it gets late, I will stop for the night and finish the drive in the morning. I have looked at Trip Advisor for some hotel or motel reviews long I-95 between the FL/GA border and I-26/I-95 interchange in SC. But I would love to hear of any experiences, good or bad, that Fiends have had.
  18. I told my family about this thread. My son responded that there is a new kid in one of his classes who moved here from Louisiana. My son asked him, "What is one thing you see in SC that you never saw in Louisiana?" The response he got was, "People driving straight on the roads. In Louisiana, our pot holes are so bad, you can't tell if someone is drunk or just driving around the potholes!"
  19. Thanks everyone! I ended up getting a Shell card, since I am pretty confident I can find a Shell station in most areas. At this point, I plan to fill the tank before I leave, then top off in Hardeeville, SC right before i cross into Georgia. I am hoping I can make it on that one tank back to Hardeeville, since SC has the cheapest gas.
  20. To help me stay on budget for WWW and to avoid skimmers, I am planning to buy a gas card for the trip. My grocery store is offering $10 off a $50 card this weekend if I spend $50 on groceries. I am trying to decide which chain to buy the card for. Is that one gas station that always had pretty cheap gas on Disney property still a Hess station? If not, is it part of a chain? Or is there a Hess station near FW that is in a safe neighborhood?
