ftwildernessguy got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Tire recommendations?
Larry disagrees with everything I said. Then he repeated it only with more words.

Disney has an abundance of free toilet paper on carts throughout the resorts.

I bet that was the only monorail that smelled good that day.

The trouble with Larry the raccoon is he can be such a know it all. Don't ask him about tires.

That would be Larry and Lester, my trained raccoons. They raid freezers and ice machines for me to keep my ice supply full for Kungaloosh.

Now that you mention it, I was just wearing my Mickey loincloth.

I have a dog who loves to go for walks at 4 am. Vacation makes no difference to him. On our trip in October, on one walk around the 500 loop, we saw armadillo, turkeys, raccoons. I usually seen 10 or more deer at a time on the trail to the lodge when I take my early morning bike ride. Sometimes they are a hazard, since they are not really afraid of humans, they will stand on the trail itself and I have to weave my bike in and out of the group. I have also seen bald eagles out by Bay Lake. I have heard owls many times, but they are somewhat elusive and I have only seen them a couple times, but if you are patient and follow the hoots, you can find them high in the trees.
A couple of years ago I was on a morning walk with my dog. He is a 75 lb golden doodle. A golf cart came by with a mom, dad and young boy about 3. The parents must have told the kid they were going to see wildlife, because as soon as he saw my dog, he pointed at him and said "look, Dad, wildlife!"

ftwildernessguy reacted to h2odivers...Ray in Thank you veterans!!!
I just wanted to say thank you to all my brothers and sisters who have served and sacrificed. And those that are serving now.
And to the families that sacrificed so they may serve.
Thank you all so much!
God bless you all!

ftwildernessguy got a reaction from taytaydisney in 500 loop advice
Site 508. There Is a large wooded area behind the site and a good distance to the 400 loop. The site is HUGE. It is about 70 feet long. We had the Outback on it, the truck in front and enough room for another trailer in front of that.

ftwildernessguy got a reaction from Part-Time Paradise in Day Trip to White Sands National Monument
It is, indeed, an interesting area. I spent quite a bit of time in a tent on the missile range near ground zero.

ftwildernessguy got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in The FORT will never be the same
I don't know, maybe she is getting second thoughts. I talked to her this morning at breakfast and she said it will be within the next 3 years, but she hasn't decided yet when and when she decides the date, she will announce it, but she said it needs to come from her.

ftwildernessguy got a reaction from lightbikes in Send FWG To The 3000 Loop (and it won't cost you cheapskates anything)
I am planning a trip to assess the damage Irma did to the 3000 loop. Beer lines are already scheduled for replacement, so mainly I will be focusing on the massage parlor. I can't hook up the Outback, however, until I hit at least 650 likes. So it's all up to you!

ftwildernessguy got a reaction from Avatab.... Steve in 3000 Loop Update
I am in my usual assigned site on the 3000 loop. Cranked up the Magic Bullet yesterday and made a Kungaloosh for myself, and a Pina Colada for FWGirl. Loop did well thru Irma, no damage. Beer line replacement is about half complete, should be done for the weekend. Weather is hot and humid with thunderstorms in forecast, but hey, it's Florida, what do you expect?

ftwildernessguy got a reaction from Tri-Circle-D in 3000 Loop Update
Pool is open 24/7. As always, suits are optional.
Todays critter count, which covers the 4 am potty walk with Murphy as well as my bike ride, is as follows:
1 very large armadillo
2 bunnies
10 deer
2 raccoon
2 turkey

And for those Ken fans out there, he is still at Trails End and will be celebrating 41 years with Disney soon.
