If you have two reservations you request them be linked with a Travel With number by Calling in to Disney Reservations. You can fax that request in as well. This lets them know though you are traveling together and would like to be near each other. This is how I set it up for clients. 

I did notice you can no longer request a loop. But they may have made that decision a few years ago as well. We love the 1600 loop. I have a few questions, if someone doesn't mind answering them.
1) Should we still fax?
2) My in-laws are coming this time, so I had plan to fax for their rig as well...with a simple "please put us near our kids" type request. Does that work? Or is there another way to request to be near someone?
3) What number is everyone calling? The main line?

Looking for all the fun secret extras that Disney World has to offer. We are going to Disney World in May and I want to put together all the fun off the map things that Disney has to offer. Such things as the secret phones in the Magic Kingdom you can listen to and any others you guys know of.

I would bet that it was just a stoopid programming mistake. The requests were written standard for all resorts, then they actually programmed some exceptions due to the uniqueness of the Fort.  Then recently, they made some change to the online checkin, that defaulted the "requests" back to the standards for all resorts, then nobody bothered to go back in and program the exceptions for Fort Wilderness.

I will say that they have been more receptive to selecting a site once you get there than in previous trips. The trip before the last one I made a specific request not to be next to the main bus road in the camp, and sure enough we were given a site that placed the backside of the site about 10' away from the road. We used the nifty fort fiends app and noticed this when they told us our site number and asked if we could select another site. If we didn't have a 5 and 7 year old that are a bit flighty it probably wouldn't have been as much of an issue. Anyway we were instantly presented with about 6 other options. Previous times this would have taken an act of congress. :)

If you went to the Very Merry Christmas Party Ticketed Events in the past like I have, you know that they USED to offer FREE milk and cookies PLUS a FREE picture at the event.  Well, that was many a moon ago until now.  At least they have brought back some of the free food.  Maybe the free pictures for everyone is not far off?  Who knows?

Hey gang, we haven't camped since 2014, so I could be missing something. However, our online check-in didn't allow for loop choice. In fact, it's set-up like a resort (asking for upper floor, etc). I ended-up choosing the accommodates fold-out awning option. There wasn't a loop option or a comfort station option. There was also no place to write a note. I do plan to fax 5 days ahead. However, I was just wondering if this is the new norm. I haven't found a thread that discussed this issue. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you.

As long as they don't mess up the best people watching seating in all of WDW at High Octane Refreshments (the bar next door), I'm ok with it.

We did F&W on three days with mom and a fourth day by ourselves. Mom didn't get much but my wife and I just really let loose and sampled everything we wanted to, including drinks. We averaged $200 a day, which is not too bad considering it replaced lunch and some dinners.
edited to add: I should mention that there were quite a few glasses of champagne, prosecco, grand marnier slushies and other expensive drinks as well as Scotch, Tequilla and beer flights as part of that $800 tab. YMMV! Also, FWIW, we did Victoria & Albert's that trip, complete with wine pairings, and if I had to choose between doing it again or three more days of abandon at F&W, I'd choose the latter.

No TCD we did not see you so sit down and take a deep breath. We went to B and C last night with some friends and their daughter who is 7 was standing in line talking to a girl and told her she looked like Chloe from Dog With a Blog. She said I am her. I looked her up and sure nuff it was Francesca Capaldi. She seemed like a nice kid and her parents were nice as well. The mom said it took 5 years to get her a role so anybody who wants their kid on tv don't give up lol.

$50 for me, but no drinks, and we're outta there in a few hours.

Oh there will be PLENTY of craft beers to try also!  :)
