DaveInTN 3,247
The theming is incredible. I'm not a Potter fan, but the immersive experience they are providing there now seems way above anything Disney provides.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
It looks more and more awesome with every update. It hadn't dawned on me before, but there are updates to the original WWoHP side in IoA as a result of this too, so more to see all around!

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
From Inside the Magic... Quote Jimmy Fallon to bring “The Tonight Show” to Universal Orlando in June to help unveil the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley Big entertainment is coming to Universal Orlando next month with the surprise announcement that “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” will be taping there, offering a preview of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley. New episodes of “The Tonight Show” will be taped June 16th through June 19th at Universal Studios Florida, featuring guests Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Tracy Morgan, and more. Tickets will be released later this week on the show’s ticketing website. Interested fans should watch the show’s Twitter account, @FallonTonight to find out when tickets are available. The taping dates partially overlap with the planned press event for Diagon Alley, which is taking place June 17-19, 2014. http://www.insidethemagic.net/headlines/jimmy-fallon-to-bring-the-tonight-show-to-universal-orlando-in-june-to-help-unveil-the-wizarding-world-of-harry-potter-diagon-alley/ I just thought I'd mention that I know a guy who was able to score 4 tickets to the June 19 taping of the Tonight Show. The announced guest for that taping is Pitbull. TCD
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
If it's anything like when the first WWoHP opened, it will be a total madhouse. I remember that they had to hold people outside the area of the park itself because it got so horrendously crowded. I'm just hoping it dies down a bit by November. Lou... 3,118
The announced guest for that taping is Pitbull. Although I love dogs, not sure about Pit Bulls though. I'm just hoping it dies down a bit by November. I might try right after Labor Day.Theoretically, it is one of the 3 slowest weeks of the year. If it's really busy then, Nov will be worse. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Although I love dogs, not sure about Pit Bulls though. Agreed. The day before, the guest is Jimmy Buffet. But, I had to take what I could get. Those tickets went fast. We all enjoy Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, so it's still going to be fun. TCD

BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
An update from Inside the Magic on the new food/drink offerings...http://www.insidethemagic.net/2014/05/butterbeer-ice-cream-magic-drinks-british-fare-to-be-served-in-diagon-alley-as-universal-orlandos-new-potter-cuisine/ Universal Orlando has revealed the inventive new food and beverage options that will be served up this summer in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley. New dining experiences and unique flavors have been created exclusively for the new land. Based on the books and films, the food Universal Orlando has crafted will feature imported ingredients from England and quite a few treats guests will only be able to get in this expansion. Leaky CauldronThe popular wizarding pub and inn will serve British dishes such as Bangers and Mash (traditional roasted sausages with creamy mashed potatoes), Fisherman’s Pie (salmon, shrimp and cod baked together under a potato crust), Toad in the Hole (traditional sausage baked into a Yorkshire pudding and served with onion gravy), Fish and Chips, and the Ploughman’s, which is a feast of English cheese, crusty bread, cornichon pickles, apple beet salad, Branston pickle and a Scotch egg. New draught beers created exclusively for the land include Wizard’s Brew and Dragon Scale. Pumpkin Juice and Butterbeer will be served as well, alongside new beverages Fishy Green Ale and Tongue Tying Lemon Squash. Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream ParlourYes, Butterbeer ice cream is happening. Straight out of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” Florean Fortescue’s will feature 20 unique ice-cream flavors including Earl Grey and Lavender, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Chocolate Chili, Clotted Cream, Salted Caramel Blondie, Apple Crumble, Strawberry and Peanut-Butter, and Orange Marmalade. The Butterbeer ice cream will be a soft-serve variety. Also available will be a variety of fresh pastries, scones, tarts and sweet cakes. Eternelle’s Elixir of RefreshmentIn Horizont Alley, a street branching off Diagon Alley, guests will find “magical elixers” (flavor packets, essentially) named Draught of Peace, Babbling Beverage, Elixir to Induce Euphoria and Fire Protection Potion. These “elixirs” will be added to Gillywater to create drinks. More delicious details can be found on the official Universal Orlando Blog. The opening date of Diagon Alley has not yet been announced, but will likely arrive between June 20 and June 29. Nice to see them adding some good food options also. The Ploughman's looks terrific! I love a good scotch egg and we usually order them in the Irish pub in UO. Oh an butterbeer ice cream? Yes please. :)

These notes will be able to be used within both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade Village to buy snacks and merchandise." How many people are going to swap their money and then keep the Wizarding Bank Notes as a souvenir? Probably me.
