Rumor: Disney Execs Touring WDW

Recommended Posts

Several Disney big wigs were seen "out and about" at Walt Disney World this past week.  Included were Bruce Vaughn (WDI Chief Creative Executive), Tom Staggs (Chairman Walt Disney Parks and Resorts), Dan Cockerell (Disney's Hollywood Studios VP), Kathy Mangum (Walt Disney Imagineering), George Kalogridis (Walt Disney World President), and John Lasseter (Principal Creative Advisor, Walt Disney Imagineering).

There has been speculation that their appearance at Hollywood Studios may be related to rumored expansions there, particularly regarding Pixar Place, However the group was also seen at other locations around WDW, including some time spent at Epcot, where they also had a private lunch in World Showcase.

And while Lasseter's presence may suggest to some that this all may be specifically Pixar related, it's important to note that he is involved with everything creative at Disney, not just Pixar. The fact that they spent time in Epcot as well as HS may suggest that there are projects (or at least ideas for projects) in the works there as well.

I was in a meeting this week chaired by Kathy Mangum and John Lasseter. There are allot of projects going on around "the World".

Not sure what that will mean in the long run, but it is nice to hear that there are more projects in the works.

What other countries can we ruin by bringing in movie themes.

New "Brave" theme Scotland pavilion.

I'd imagine haggis would be immensely popular with people on the dining plan.  8)

Only if it was real haggis - not that vegetarian 'stuff'.
